Not high priority but: forum post counts are not being updated. Will they no longer be counted? 🤔

Oh man, I was so close to 10000. Hope this feature is reinstated.

I gotta say, I’m really starting to vibe with the new site. Got a bit of fresh energy about it that was needed.

Haters, miss me with your whining bullshit. I’m grateful that Lush lives on and is only going to get better and better.

I have just added Bridgerton to my list of top tele on my easy to edit profile.

Someone told me you can even add little poems and stories. I'm off to write a paean of praise in sonnet form. What rhymes with Swinger?

There’s a lovely Scottish word - minger.

“Looking for swingers

Who aren’t total mingers.”

I did see this mentioned above already, and it’s not much of a big deal (except it hurts my soul) - the chatroom seems to think I’m from USA and I can’t find a setting to change it.

Honestly not sure I’ll be much more happy with a wee Union Jack (a saltire would be ideal), but at least it would be technically accurate.

Thanks. Hope you can understand that I didn’t care to read through ten pages of this thread.

But if and when they do resolve this, I’m still petitioning for a saltire option.

But yeah, it's a good idea, especially if it helps narrow down someone with the same category interest that you can ask questions of. Let me have a think about it.

It is a nice idea, but I think it would have to be done carefully and sensitively. Some of our mods are pretty low-key on the site and might not like the attention, and new story mods have a lot of information to digest when they first join the team and might feel overwhelmed by lots of well wishes and, potentially, people contacting them with mod questions they don't know how to answer yet.
Maybe you could post one or two stories here on Lush. Then people could get a taste of your work and might be tempted to check out your Patreon for more.

Ooh, figging! We don't have enough figging stories here.

Thinking of doing some personal research so that I can contribute to our figging library.
I actually have a vague memory of you joining, just a month after me. You obviously made an impression.

Cheers to the Decadents! And to the next ten Lush years!

Please note if you buy sex toys, you're honour bound to gives us a full and in depth review.

Pretty sure I bought a sex toy first time I got Mod of the Month.

Well-deserved, LL. You've really hit the ground running and fit in great with the team (i.e., you're an incorrigible flirt and exhibitionist).
Hey, Nick. Plenty sluts around here, so you should fit in well. Enjoy the site!

For anyone wanting to try a micro, I would suggest taking a story you have written and stripping it down to create a micro. I think that approach might help you get in the right mindset. Don't know for sure...

That could be a really interesting exercise. Finding the essence of your story and distilling it into 100 words. Makes you really consider what the key moment in the story is that opens up the rest of it.

I don't have many micros, but I'm actually more tempted to go the other direction and expand them into full-length stories. There are so many details that exist only in my head because they didn't make the 100-word cut.
Best way to practice is with the real thing. Find someone willing to fool around, doesn't have to be anything serious.

Depending where you are located, it's usually pretty easy to find nearby gay hookups through various apps and websites.
The poster of the threads changed them to “cancelled” and erased the first post of each. I have now deleted both threads. Thank you.
I don't get the old/young thing, personally. I'm no spring chicken myself any more (I'm 30), but I've always tended to find people around my own age the most attractive. At the moment, people in the range 25–35.

Not that I can't appreciate when an older women is beautiful. I just don't want to be with someone who would probably have more in common with my mum.

I'm new. I submitted a couple of stories 3 days go. Have heard nothing. Perhaps I did something wrong.

You've not done anything wrong - I can see your story in the queue.

Thanks for the great post above from kiteares.
Hi Linh,

Depending on how busy the queue is, and the availability of our moderators, it can take up to a week, although we aim for less.

It really is one of the biggest perks of Gold membership, as those are usually verified within one or two days.

Hope this helps. Feel free to send a message if you have any follow-up questions.

Not really, no. A few guys weren't exactly "hot", but I was attracted to them enough to have sex. And I don't think any of the women I've been with were ugly in the least.
I have a pretty nondescript Scottish accent. It's been watered down from years of moving around the country and interacting with lots of non-Scots.

And since there is no clear-cut definition of erotica (given the many kinks and fetishes many enjoy), we need to rely on the judgments of the site admin, mods to publish what they have decided are quality, erotic stories.

Even though I'm a fairly vanilla guy (compared to many other members here, anyway), I've spent years moderating stories that explore all sorts of kinks and fetishes that I often don't fully understand myself, and I've done a pretty good job of it.

The job of a moderator is not now, nor has it ever been, to decide what people should or should not find sexy as far as content goes. When we reject something for not being erotic enough, it's usually because there is no expression of sexual attraction or pleasure, or no descriptions of sexual activity (stimulation, penetration, etc.).

Spanking is a good example. Not something I find particularly sexy myself, but it has erotic appeal to some. Now, just because a story has spanking in it, does not mean the story is erotic. The spanking would need to be accompanied by the sensations, the emotions that make it a sexual experience, e.g. the way her dripping pussy tingled with every stinging smack (see, I don't even need to enjoy the kink myself to be able to make it sexy). I've read (and rejected) spanking stories that are no more than thinly-veiled abuse.

I think there's been a bit of a misunderstanding about that. Just because someone finds something erotic, doesn't mean they wrote it in an erotic way. We're in the business of getting people wet and/or hard, and we try to make sure the stories we post will do that.
Force all the kids who live nearby into a room and tell them about my interests.
The badge will have been awarded following the closing of the competition, but there may not be an image file associated with it yet. This may take a few days.
