Is it true that when a woman has her ovaries removed she loses all sex drive and thoughts?
My wife of 38 years had hers entirely removed by a dumb ass surgeon 17 years ago due to a cancer scare.
Took her ovaries but not a hysterectomy.
Not long after that the sexually active "try anything" woman I knew lost it all. She just has stated thru the years

Been married for 36 years to a great gal, I am 66 and she is 57....We had a balls to the wall sex life for years, nothing was forbidden or not tried at least once. Thennnnn----------- Due to a sister with cancer and it being in her family she had a cyst on her ovaries and the Doctor suggested removal of her ovaries, not a Hysterectomy just the ovaries ...okay it was thankfully benign and nothing to be afraid of he stated BUT she was also not a candidate for hormones due to the family history.......from that point on it has been nil to none sex. Okay ladies I really am at wits end and see no way to solve this issue.I am 65, nice looking, dress neatly, causally, (N0 freaking velcro for me) and people say I am hot for my age. I still love sex, able to get it up many times daily, love it all and now come the problem.

My wife had her ovaries removed due to a cancer scare 10 years ago. Since then she seems to have lost her desire for sex, her fantasies, her dreams of sex and even her thoughts of it.
