Congratulations to everyone in the top ten!! This would have been an incredibly hard competition to judge with so many phenomenal entries. Seriously, big claps!!!

Congratulations, top three, and the rest of the top ten! All well deserved. There were far too many to read all of them, but I read plenty of other excellent entries. 

Oh, and two tentacle stories in the top ten? We must bow down and bend over for our future tentacular lords and masters!

Oh a very well deserved top three. All fabulous stories, as were so many others in this incredibly well turned out competition.

Congratulations not only to the podium finishers and my fellow top tenners, but also anyone who fielded an entry. Such a tough contest, as ever: I read practically all of them and there were some corkers.

After eight years and thirteen tries, I finally made it to the top ten. I'm overjoyed and euphoric! Thank you so much to everyone who read, rated and commented on my story!

And to Violet and the other Annie for their tentacles (makes memo to self; must include more tentacles.) Such a great competition with so much excellent writing outside the top ten. Congratulations to all the winners, thoroughly deserved. It was a tough competition and the judges must of had a difficult time wading through so many entries. I really enjoyed it and would like to give a very special thanks to the 72 lovely people who took the time to vote and leave comments on my humble little story.
