Well put Roc. I agree totally. The psychological part of advertising is incredibly slick. I won't deny that at all. I've worked in fast food and unfortunately I saw kids like the one in the pics posted by Nic. It's sad. And now the advertising has spread to all new markets, targeting th coffee crowd. I am tired of the coffee commercials as is most of America from what I've heard. We get it, you have new coffee stuff. Now can I get back to my reality show please????

But thanks for poiting out the other side Roc. I didn't mean to over look it and its very true!

Allow me to add my thoughts. Yes they may seem to target kids, however, it is the parents responsibility to teach ther kids healthy eating habits. And when kids kick and scream for their dose of the golden arches, parents should be the PARENTS and not give in to every whim of their child. Its called parental responsibilty which unfortunately has dwindled in this day and age. Everything is someone else's fault. Its Mcdonalds fault America is obese. Its the governements fault we're poor. Its the bank's fault I'm out of money. So on and so on. And now its someone else's fault that my kid is an obese, disobedient, uneducated, disrespectful brat.

I saw Angels and Demons. Good movie but of course the book was better. I've only been to the movies a few times this year. I haven't rented much that was good this year either. I did enjoy GI Joe. I'm hoping to catch The Ugly Truth soon as it is out on dvd now. Year One kept me awake for the length but I didn't really laugh out loud. I am looking forward to Sherlock Holmes coming out.
1. David Beckham

7. George Clooney
8. Dane Cook
9. any of the hot swimmers from The Covenant (crappy ass movie with hot swimmers)
10. James Franco
Lets see for me its mostly Showtime or HBO now. It depends on the season. Tudors when its on. I'm loving Nurse Jackie and True Blood! I also love Weeds but am more fond of the earlier episodes. The direction its taken is rather annoying at the moment. Oh and United States of Tara was great too! Ready for it to start again! As for prime time.. The Office when its new.
Oh wow. I love trivia! I've always got some random facts bouncing around my head. And movies... I can sometimes rock that cetegory!
Haha. yes he has the tramp stamp. I don't get it either. He's quite covered in ink now. I'll still take him though!
For me it would be the following in no certain order:

Yuengling
Light Beers (Mich Ultra and Becks Light)
Jack and coke
Hpnotiq (pronounced hypnotic) and rockstar mixed
Snake Bite (Woodchucks mixed with Harp... very yummy!)
And Smirnoff Grape or Green Apple... both very yummy!!!!
For me it would have to be David Beckahm...... as long as he didn't talk much. That voice just doesn't fit the body. But he's very delish!

Some can be in a few categories but here's my list:

Action: Goldeneye
Adventure: Blood Diamond
Animation: Madagascar 2
Biography: The Queen.. Hellen Mirren was Fantastic!
Comedy: Tommy Boy
Children's: Sword in the Stone
Crime: Double Jeopardy
Drama: The Shawshank Redemption
Horror: Texas Chainsaw Massacre (orignal although the first remake wasnt bad)
Sci-Fi: Pitch Black
Thriller: Hannibal (I love Silence of the Lambs too)
War: We Were Soldiers
Mystery: Bone Collector
Romance: Love Actually
Also add the movie that made me cry: We Were Soldiers

least favorite movie category:

Most Overrated Movie That Didn't Live up to the Hype: The New World... it was Colin Ferrell looking "emo" for 45 minutes and then shots of trees for another 90 minutes. Terrible movie!
Nice surprise: Sweeney Todd (it took me a bit to realize I kind of liked the movie)

Something tells me the "bored and horny" ones would be the most popular.

Yes Roc. It would be a close second to all the "tweets". haha The whole twitter craze and endless text speak is annoying as hell. But thats just me.
I've always just seen Twitter as a constant onslaught of "status updates" that include celebs and us more common folk. For instance "Ashton and Demi just left their local grocery store "and "bubbatruck47 just got a new set of mud tires for his truck". I haven't checked it out completely but it seems pretty simple. I guess my question would be along the lines of is it just a trend and are people so interested in it because of the celeb factor? A Lush one could be quite interesting though.
Two words: Preview Button. Don't people use it? It's there for a reason! I'm not perfect either but come on. I don't know how you moderators stay sane sometimes. Hats off to you guys for dealing with and sifting through the rubbish! =d>

Goldie, we were forced to read that %$&&*%$%$# book at work, only because they knew massive layoffs were going to happen and we were to, somehow, accept it.
What a piece of shit attempt at mind control, that book.

I HATE the book Roc. I totally agree with you. We were "asked" to read it at a a place I used to work for. I love the mentality it has. I can sum up the book for free for anyone who ever thought of buying it.... Here it goes.... pay attention you guys.... "Shit happens. Things change. Deal with it or find a new place to work. And have a nice day!" There. I just saved the entire forum $14.95. I wish someone had just told me that instead of passing the "%$&&*%$%$# book" around the office.
Ha! Thats awesome Cat! Try this quote on... (from one of my all time fave comedies):
"You know a lot of people go to college for seven years." "Yeah. They're called doctors."-- Tommy Boy. Love it!!!
"Bling" can be shoved down the garbage disposal with a few others on the list. That one drives me insane. And also any over used corporate propaganda.... "think outside the box" is a good example that was mentioned. Or "The cheese has moved" (from the book Who Moved The Cheese?)
Still deciding between spaghetti or pizza. Depends on how bad I don't want to cook tonight.
I love how the slot one added the squiggly lines. Now its fancy! I have tatoos so I can't throw stones and I like original ones. But the long wordy one is gonna look bad when it fades or stretches....

Well shit Goldie, some people shouldn't be allowed to vote or breed.
Too stupid.

Oh I totally agree! I think some people should have to pass a type of test or something before they're allowed to breed.... and don't even get me started on voting!

And seriously, who puts a Bible verse inches above their ass-crack? I mean come on. Someone please tell me this is photo-shopped. Or I've lost all hope for the human race.
I loved #9 and also add shirts or any other article of favorite clothing! Only women get that!
