100+ of the Best Authors on Twitter.

Does anyone here use Twitter at all? I wonder if it would be a fun thing for us to start a lush stories twitter, and anyone interested could post, or whatever it is you do there!

I'd better look into it, or someone a bit smarter on the old technology side could help us out perhaps
What is that whole Twitter thing about? It's the current, trendy rage right now.
I think you text message your own page or something like that.

Kind of like a blog, but you can easily do it from your cellphone. I think that's the idea.

Do people really want all this information overshare?

Yes. Yes they do. I masses they do.

I can't decide if Twitter is just the next leap beyond blogging, and thus worthy of one's time based on how interesting a certain person is to the reader...or if I hate it intensely because it's just another sign that Idiocracy is coming true, and we can't help but whittle our attention span to absolute zero.

That said, if this site had a Twitter page...you're damn right I'd be tweeting!
Precisely my dilemma Lexy!

Could anyone from here who wanted contribute to it if we set one up? We could have a standardised login everyone could use or something?

There must be a nerd, I mean someone here who understands these things
I nominate Lexy to investigate
I've always just seen Twitter as a constant onslaught of "status updates" that include celebs and us more common folk. For instance "Ashton and Demi just left their local grocery store "and "bubbatruck47 just got a new set of mud tires for his truck". I haven't checked it out completely but it seems pretty simple. I guess my question would be along the lines of is it just a trend and are people so interested in it because of the celeb factor? A Lush one could be quite interesting though.

Hm like this?
"I don't believe it, we really need more lube and the stores are all closed and what does he do?!! He suggests motoroil and is heading for the garage... I need to find a way out of here."

"I had too much to drink, looking for a driver to get me home. I'll never drink again, when I woke up I thought I waas dreaming, there are cows everywhere!"

"I'm bored and horny"

"All out of Ready whip and too tipsy from the champange"

"I just saw the worlds smallest dick, ever!"

Or did I get the wrong idea of what you can do with twitter?
Something tells me the "bored and horny" ones would be the most popular.
I think Twitter is for twits ha ha it seems a very childlike form of writing on school toilets in junior school; except that you just post so and so woz ere but on a blog type of page. why do people have to tell other's what they are doing every minute of the day, is it some form of attention seeking for a celebrity lifestyle that every day people crave. ohh well that felt like a good rant ha ha, HB xx
IT's to not disappear in the big masses.

That sums it up for me. We even had someone post a "story" which was actually a message to someone, complete with bad punctuation done in a "texting" style. It got deleted.

Yes Roc. It would be a close second to all the "tweets". haha The whole twitter craze and endless text speak is annoying as hell. But thats just me.
