I’m Eira from Norway. Early in 2024, heading for my sixtieth birthday, I took early retirement from the senior management position, COO of our Norwegian business, due to unforeseen and unexpected circumstances.

The love of my life, husband, best friend and soulmate Oliver did the same. We both worked very stressful jobs which demanded a great deal of our time and our work/life balance weighed excessively in favour of work.

Now we’re free and busy, adding nice memories to the remaining pages of the books of our lives, travelling the world together, fine dining and living our best lives for however long we have remaining of the short visit we get to this planet.

It’s an all too brief visit and we’re all guaranteed to leave one day in the not too distant future. Even if you’re reading this as a young person and thinking you’ve still a long life in front of you, if you’re lucky enough to get old considering many good people aren’t afforded the privilege, you will look back one day and wonder where the time went and how it could possibly have gone so quickly. Whilst I’m here, I mean to treat everyone with the respect I believe they deserve, it’s nice to be nice.

Interests include a great love of the written word. Every day ends with a book and I don’t recall a time when that wasn’t the case. Previously mentioned fine dining is of particular interest to both Oliver and I and we’re fortunate to have eaten, and continue to eat in, some of the world's finest restaurants. He has a great passion for cooking and produces the most beautiful food on a daily basis when we’re at home. My greatest passion at home is my gardening, outside in the fresh air amongst my plants and flowers is my happy place.

Oliver has taken pictures of me over the years simply because he likes photography and the ones shown are the real me. We discovered Lush quite accidentally and since posting, we’ve both been pleasantly surprised by some of the lovely feedback. I’m loving the chat, especially with lesbian and bi ladies ❤️
