I can see the 14th Amendment being viable in this case if Trump had actually been convicted of a crime for instigating the January 6 Insurrection. While l am sure he did instigate it, l believe our justice system works best when a person is actually convicted of the crime before punishment can be executed.

He has yet to be convicted of any crime. Though l hope he will.

Colorado courts are just opening a can of worms that can backfire. Just as the party in control of the US Congress will be trying to impeach every sitting president from the opposition party from here on. Irresponsible precedent has been set.

I love the theory that Morgan Freeman is really Jimi Hendrix. Freeman is an outstanding blues guitarist.

And, of course, Sasquatch is just too much fun to let go of. In Florida, he's Skunk Ape running around the swamps and Everglades.

And then there's the theory that Hulk Hogan is centuries old and created the Shroud of Turin using his own face. Yeah, you look at that and then try telling me that isn't Hulk Hogan.

Hey, he only heavily implied that. If you simply read the 23 page TOS agreement on his website when you donated you would see it’s a completely above board, non-political slush fund.

Now, can you imagine Trump voters reading 23 pages of anything, much less TOS?

Try searching online Elon Musk + Amber Heard + Sex Parties.

Just entertaining. Nothing wrong with sex parties as long as all participants are willing, consenting, and of legal age.

Elon Musk reinstated extreme right-wing fanatic, Alex Jones, back on X, so Jones can spread his right-wing conspiracy theories.

Y'all remember the lies Alex Jones spread about the Sandy Hook school shooting, that it never happened. Jones was sued and now has to pay Sandy Hook victims' families 55 million dollars.

So, Alex Jones must reflex Elon Musk's lack of integrity.

Trump could easily pay Gulianni's lawsuit debt from the donations he received post 2020 election. You know the donations Trump said he'd use to fight the election results, but instead pocketed for his own personal use.

My wife can put fingers it or put in a very small vibe, But nothing else. No way anything big.

A republic with more than two major parties. But also has national referendum elections on as many issues as possible.

Or, if a small country, a true democracy.

Are the Blacks in the room with us right now?

I think the one in the white t-shirt and great big round beer belly used to be 6 members here (recently, but no longer).

🤣

Many fellow southerners would say, "well, bless his heart". Which is just the polite version of "what a fuckin' douchebag."

For all the complainers here: they're protesting for your future, and perhaps that of your kids, as well.

Then they should find a way to do it that actually boosts their cause rather than destroys it. The immense unpopularity of their protest choice is lousy, and creates more antagonism to them, while doing not one damn positive thing to stop oil use. And their hypocrisy by wearing vests made of OIL!!!!

They are a great example of how to make your cause so unpopular that it is easily defeated.

WHY NOT PUT THEIR ENERGIES INTO CREATING A VIABLE ALTERNATIVE INSTEAD? Does that at all make sense to you, Noll?

*******

PS. Have any of you been reading how operating Bitcoin is a huge ecological disaster? Look it up. If you have a brain, don't ask for stupid links.

Only one answer. No Categories. Just One Human Category... males, women, and all transgendered people, all just compete. Just build wider tracks for running competitions.

What can we expect...

Regressive assholery and pardons for right-wing treasonous criminal assholes. And cringing as we watch Trump rim and kiss Putin's asshole.

The Stop Oil Protesters do more to hurt their cause than to help it. First off, they go out, all wearing neon colored plastic vests (made from oil). Plus stopping & blocking traffic causes the traveling vehicles to have their journey delayed, burning more fossil fuel and introducing more carbon into the air.

Also, they piss off the people who would be sympathetic to their cause.

There are probably a thousand other things they could do that would actually help to stop burning gasoline and diesel fuels, rather than sitting down in the highway, making the masses hate them.

Blocking traffic is illegal, it is very dangerous, and it infringes upon other people's rights. I think they should be arrested, jailed, and heavily fined. Also, sentenced to community service, such as cleaning up the environment, helping at homeless shelters. Maybe put them in waders to get into streams to remove toxic waste and debris. Or build bicycle lanes and paths. Or maybe they should do that to begin with rather than acting stupidly by blocking traffic.

Here in the Netherlands most transactions are done electronically since the last couple of years. ATMs have even disappeared to a large degree, in part because there's less demand for cash money. But also because ATMs are regular targets of violent robberies, where explosives are used to get to the money stored in the ATM. For the same reason the remaining ATMs are locked between 23h and 7h (11pm and 7am for the hourly handicapped), as that makes them less vulnerable to this type of heist apparently. This again contributes to cash money being less easily available.

The Dutch gangs, who commit these kinds of robberies, mainly operate in Germany these days. There are still many more ATMs around over there, and their ATMs also tend to be less well equipped to withstand such attacks.

I own several ATMs, and so far have only had one targeted for a robbery attempt. It was camera and alarm monitored, so only received minor damage before the perp panicked and ran off.

I've been very picky about only putting them in secure locations, and all are securely encased.

So far, the ATMs have been very profitable.

It's been a few years since I went last, but Trapeze in Atlanta was a really nice club that attracted a good, diverse crowd.

I've been to The Trapeze a few times.

I was a kid at that time and didn't care about politics because the country wasn't all fucked up during the Clinton years. Many left leaning people in general are pro-gun, I own guns. The difference is Al Gore didn't make it a mission to end abortion did he? I don't know.

I did a paper on Gore once. Gore and his wife were very vocal anti-abortionists. He was rated as one of the most conservative senators in the US Senate. If not, he'd have never been elected in Tennessee.

As VP under Clinton, Gore did a political about face.

You're right about Clinton. He handled the economy very well and it showed. But most people don't know that Clinton followed a Reaganomics economic model, while leaning socially liberal.

There was a Democrat Senator from Georgia, a very powerful long term Senator, Sam Nunn, who was consistently ranked the most conservative Senator in the entire Senate. A Democrat who was more conservative than any Republican. And that was not at all unusual in the 1970s-1980s, even into the 1990s.

Pretty much all the southern very conservative Democrats switched to the Republican party in the 1990s to early 2000s.

I agree that cashless businesses do discriminate against the homeless and the poor.

If someone has had their identity stolen and all credit cards compromised, they may be forced into a cash only position until they get it straightened out. That can sometimes take several months.

I applaud states whose laws protect cash money and its use.

And a very important note: credit card debt is at an all time record high in the USA. That enormous debt probably will be one of the leading factors in the next economic crash. And there is always a next economic crash. US government and citizen debt is rising at an alarming rate. It isn't if it will happen, it is when will it happen.

Tennessee is ran by republicans.

Remember Al Gore. He was a Democrat US Senator for Tennessee before he was Clinton's VP.

As a Democrat Senator for Tennessee he was more conservative than most Republicans, hugely Pro-Life Anti-Abortion, pro-gun, etc. But did a 180 degree about face in order to be A Democrat Vice President. Just funny what a political phony he was.

Men who have transitioned to female are welcome to do so, and live life free and pursue happiness like anyone else.

But athletics is set up in categories to best promote fairness to participants. It is not fair to biological women to have to compete against someone who developed biological male muscles, which as science proves, are much denser and stronger on average, and a male skeletol frame, which gives a distinct advantage in strength, speed, and jumping ability.

There is nothing wrong with having a distinct category for those transitioned from male to compete. That is not discrimination or bigotry, it is physiological science.

Thanks for your agreement. Yes. Cash makes sense to some people, but Chicago doesn't require cash to be accepted.

Who wants to spend money in Chicago anyhow?

If you are using cash, you can't get your bank account hacked and emptied.

An armed robber can steal your cash, as well as your debit card, credit cards, drivers license, your phone, laptop, tablet, etc.

Some shops don't accept all credit cards.

Debit cards don't have the same account protection that credit cards do.

It's a dilemma.

I carry modest amounts of cash. I may on occasion, take more with me for some reason. But l always carry two concealed loaded pistols.

No place is safe, and it's getting worse.

Unfortunately, l have to agree. Cash is legal tender for all debts, public and private.

But cash is not as easily monitored.

It would be interesting to see a case go before the the US Supreme Court for a ruling.

Do you have evidence that green energy involves less plastics than non-green energy? Because the fact that both plastics and fossil fuels are made of oil by itself doesn't automatically make plastic soup specifically related to the discussion about green energy.

Noll, what in the HELL are you talking about? I NEVER said either green or fossil fuel used more plastics. Sometimes you act like a duck just to be a duck. You'd argue with a fence post.

Both sources use plastic. Try and imagine electrical wiring and batteries without plastic wrap and encasements...

And the amount of plastics used in both EV engines and petro engines, as well as the vehicles themselves. Purchase a Tesla! It is easily one of the most plastic automobiles made.

Check out your phone and/or computer for how much plastic is involved as well as rare elements. Geez!

Plastic soup is a big problem, but I'm not sure how it relates to green or non-green energy.

Through its' manufacture and detrimental impact on the planet. Have you ever thought of how many plastic components are used in the production of energy, and products that use energy? As carbon dioxide is a major earth pollutant, it is accompanied by plastic production and waste, of which a major component is oil.

LOL, now I am 😄 I didn't say Norway was as big as the US, just that its cities tend to be far apart too.

Like, put Norway over the East Coast and then compare how many US cities it covers with the number of cities there are in Norway. Or better (as in fairer): put Norway's southern tip somewhere on the East Coast and point its northern tip towards the Midwest and do the comparison.

How many Norways can you fit into the Lower 48. How many would fit in Alaska (not shown).

As for EVs, we'll see much progress in the next 10 years in their development. The prices should become more affordable, and there will be a major development across the USA and Canada in charging stations.

But l hope you all do know that China is the major polluter, as well as developing third world countries and Russia.

Japan got a late start toward green-clean, but is well on its way now. Just a few years ago US merchant seaman would see massive amounts if plastic in the ocean as they approached Japan's coasts. That is now cleaned up, but still a horrendous problem in southeast Asia, the coast of China, and in the lndian ocean.

no, not cool. but at least this will put a stop to anymore getting them - btw, one of the reasons i now own a handgun.

I taught my wife to use both handguns and long rifles, and encouraged her to take gun safety classes. I also, encouraged her to take self defense classes and martial arts.

She now has a concealed carry permit and is proficient with a pistol. As well, she has advanced well in martial arts. And she works out with weights.

But still, l worry about her safety depending where she is, if l am not there with her. But she'd most likely be a very difficult target.

Biological males should compete against biological males. Biological females should compete against biological females. That is only logical. Transgender should be a category of its' own. And no performance enhancing pharmaceuticals allowed in any category.

And once true AI humanesque computer cyborgs walk amongst us, (which will be sooner than you think) they should compete in their own distinct category.
