Like some other members here on Lush, I too experienced parental as a young boy. I eventually made peace with what happened to me and have refused to let it affect the rest of my life. The topic itself is polarizing philosophically, personally, and emotionally, as are many other topics to different individuals. Sex is a developed taste. Acceptance of desires is controlled by your social convictions, your faith teachings, family traditions, courage and any number of other outside influences.
That being said, a number of us came to Lush in order to have a safe place to express ourselves and share ideas. Others came to “hook-up” and others came just to enjoy their guilty pleasure and read. I came to Lush in 2009. There are a number of excellent authors here who express themselves sensually and sexually with elegance. There are others who cram “Suck”, “Fuck” and “Cum” in a paragraph as often as they can. The difference between erotica and porn I suppose.
I don’t condone and have no intention of writing about it or reading it. On the other hand, I don’t censor it or deny someone else’s right to express themselves either. Many members have threatened or thought about leaving Lush in protest. I would hope that those members would take a step back and reconsider their options. Nicola has provided a safe place and it would be sad if she lost members for doing such.
On Lush, is merely another genre. Don’t give it more importance than it deserves.

I met Alan in 2007 on another site. He was the first person to greet me after I posted my first story online. Then we moved to Lush in 2009 and SS in 2011. Over the years we had many long winded conversations about music, love, drinking, writing and our lives. He was a true friend and often a mentor. Alan was the most prolific writer I've ever known.
The world was a better place with him in it. His legacy of words have often been repeated by the masses of his fans. I only hope that his family or closest friends find a way to archive and save his works.

Destiny isn't a moment to moment controlling of your life. Destiny is your destination. What you do on your journey to get there sets your destiny. The bi-sections of random chaos during your journey, ie, dying unexpectedly, winning the lottery, etc, is called fate. I do believe in destiny. I do believe in fate.

My thought is there are too many huge states and too many tiny states. So my plan would be to divide California into 3 states; Texas into 4 states; Montana into 2 states; split West Virginia between Ohio and Virginia; combine Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut; combine New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Washington, DC, Maryland. And let's cut that screwy tip off of Idaho and give it to Washington. Forget the UK. They talk funny and don't carry guns.

A subjective life becomes objective when you look back in review. Changes could have been made. Choices should have been made. Successes and failures are all links in the same chain. I have a beautiful daughter and an amazing grandson. I have a loving long-term relationship with Aletheia. What could have been and what will be are only pipe dreams compared to what I actually hold in my hands.

I don't know what more can be said on this subject. An RR is a way to make someone feel nice and just maybe for a moment a chance to stand in the spotlight. It isn't intended to be demeaning to all others. We all have work we are proud of. It doesn't change the quality of anyone else's work simply because we didn't get a thumbs up. The process isn't broken nor is it corrupt. It is simply a stroke on a keyboard.
