How many people are getting up this morning for a turkey trot?!

You're going to have to explain that one to me, as I think trots has a VERY different meaning of here in the UK
I may not be from the States, but I have lots of friends from that neck of the woods, so I wanted to have a drink and give thanks...

Thanks to all my wonderful friends that have supported my writing, given me lots of giggles and naughty grins and built my confidence.

Thanks to all the people on Lush for writing such wonderfully arousing stories. And a massive thanks to all the team at Lush who work hard and volunteer their time to make sure this is the best site it can be.

to you all.

These I love...

But these....

WTF!!!!!

And these are just well cute....

Have a great day. Sending the biggest hugs possible.

Can someone message me? I need help editing my story.

Did you get anyone to help with your story?

Massive Congratulations - It doesn't surprise me, because it is such a wonderful site.

Huge thanks to Nicola and Gav and all the team.

I use a fake name to protect myself from weirdo's, but I use a photo of myself in my avatar, even though it's partially disguised I think anyone that knew me would recognize it as me.

I understand that some would like to keep their identity private for the reasons mentioned above, in some cases it's needed.

I think though if you aren't doing something you shouldn't be, and if you're here to purely write erotic fiction, then why should you need to hide it???

If it were any other genre of story you would probably openly tell people that you write. I don't see that writing erotica is any different from any other genre, it takes the same amount of imagination and skill, so I am not ashamed to tell people about it. My other half, my family, friends and people I work with all know I write and post these stories. Some including my Mum have even read my work.

Sex is something we all do, (or would like to do) we all think about it; granted some more than others. I'm not going to deny the fact that I have a dirty mind to the people that know me, and if I'm not doing anything I am ashamed of, then I'm not going to hide it.

That is so funny, I am literally crying with laughter.

Really made my day.

Though you do come across the uber talented writers that can write damn near everything and do it well, even if they haven't experienced it whether that be sex or something else.

All I can say is practice, practice, practice.

Yes there are always going to be the lucky people with absolute natural talent and ability. I did also say it is possible to do if you hadn't experienced it, but for the vast majority of us not having the experience is going to make it more of a challenge.

You right with what you say though - Practice enough and it makes perfect - Not just with writing
I have had friends just disappear without saying goodbye, and it does leave you wondering if they are alright. On the other hand though I've had some friends that decide to leave and send out loads of messages over a number of weeks saying they are leaving, I think that can be a bit much. Just one simple message to all friends saying you are leaving is good enough.

Aww, damn! How did you know!

Red, if you seriously think that people will believe you're a virgin, then I'm head of the pure thoughts and celibate club.
I think it's all to do with the level of horniness and it doesn't have to stay constant over the time of writing.

I tend to start off pretty straight headed, think up my basic plot and characters. I like to write stories that I enjoy and when I have written something that gets me going, then there should be a good chance that it would effect another reader the same way.

I tend to find my horniness increases as the story heats up, but after having to read over it again and again to check for mistakes and just the flow of the story it's ability to make me horny wears off. It's only after posting it and leaving it a few months and then going back and reading again that I get that same feeling of excitement as when I originally wrote it.

Ok so i am a 20 year old male and i am still a virgin. I have been reading these stories for a while and would love to write one. Do you think it is possible to capture the emotion and feelings behind a sex story if you havent experienced sex? Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Not naming any names but I do know of authors that have written stories when they were a virgin. They were great stories, but I did guess correctly that they were a virgin from their writing.

It is possible, but its just a bit harder to capture the feelings when you haven't experienced them. This doesn't just stand for writers that are virgins, but writing about anything that you haven't lived through is always going to be harder.

If you ever want anyone to give your writing a read before you submit to give feedback, send me a message.

I like to use my own real life experiences for inspiration. I feel like you're at your best when you're writing about what you know. Often the most mundane and ordinary scenarios can end up being very erotic. Keep an eye out for situations in which you were really turned on, then go back and expound or exaggerate it until you have the workings of a story.

For instance, my story "Search and Seizure" is based on my own real life experiences. I used to work as a detention officer, and I once had a beautiful female coworker show me how to properly frisk a female, using herself as the guinea pig. The entire experience was incredibly arousing, and I knew that it would make a good story.

I forgot to mention that in my post.

I've just read your story, thought it was super hot. I really hope you write some more.
I find inspiration in a few different ways. I tend to have an idea for a character and then decide a situation to put them in. I also like getting inspiration from particularly good pictures or gifs.

I always find it good to bounce ideas off other authors.
I have written some audio stories recently and have enjoyed the process. I would like to expand on it. I have been toying with the idea of writing a story and collaborating with someone, using two voices in the audio.

I wanted to know before spending the time writing it, if there would be any takers for my request for a male to read opposite me?

Check out my stories if you want to hear my voice, and if you're interested send me a private message.

I've recently started to write and record some audio stories. I would love it if you could answer my questions.

Do you listen to audio stories?
What do you look for in an audio story?
Is there something you'd like to hear in an audio story that you haven't yet heard?

Thanks for your help.

So, my husband isn't comfortable reading erotica. I can respect that, even if it does deprive me of one of the best editors I know. He's alright with me writing it, he just gets all embarrassed reading it. It's kinda cute, really. I've tried to have a discussion with him about why pictures of sex and videos of sex aren't as embarrassing for him, and he states (with a straight face) that no one's going to jack off to erotica.

I can relate to this. My Other-half is the same. He get's shy and embarrassed around the topic of sex. I'm the sort of person that can talk to anyone about anything if they feel comfortable and relaxed, but if they feel uncomfortable, it makes me the same way.

I wanted to find a way to communicate with him, so started writing him naughty letters. I didn't get any verbal response to them, but things started to change in the bedroom.

It was writing these naughty letters that I discovered I loved writing. I started writing stories for my oh, and posted them on lush.

The funny thing is; I may have started writing them for him, but he hasn't read any past the first story. He's not a big reader.

He knows I write and moderate for Lush, and he supports me in it, asking how the scores are going. I think sometime he thinks that I spend too much time writing, but as it benefits our relationship, he can't say too much.

I should add, Jessica, Jayne and Sweet as Candy, were all in the shortlist too. Great stories

Massive - I've only just spotted this, and it's proper made my day. Thanks
Congratulations!!!! Such a great competition, but I think the right story won.
