I gotta agree with Nicola.
I don't want anybody to think I was ... or am ... thinking of LUSH as a "porn" site or in a negative connotation. More emphasis should be addressed to my last question: How has LUSH helped / hurt you?
I DO love this site!!
Rick
I agree with AM, if this was a porn site I wouldn't be here. I never did care for it much its to fake does nothing for me.
With all due deference to Wikipedia, my one and only source of all knowledge, I think there's a very big difference between porn and erotica. There's a skill and creativity in erotica that porn lacks. Even the shorter stroke stories have some literary merit, needing to establish a scene and develop the characters to be any good.
How has Lush helped me? Well, it's bloody well kept me off the streets for over six months now. There's a strong community vibe here, and I feel I've grown as a writer because of it. And on the social networking side, I've made a few good friends and had a lot of fun.
My latest story is a racy little piece about what happens when someone cute from work invites you over to watch Netflix and Chill. Well I guess if you've ever got some kind of sexual satisfaction from this site then it would suggest that this is a porn site.
As a site it's really what you make it to be - if you're a gold member you can turn off all the adverts (which do make this place look like a porn site). Anyone can also block out certain story categories - you can have it so that can only ever see love stories and love poems (I can only imagine how horrific that would be). The truth is, there's always an x-rated vibe here. People will behave here in a way they definitely wouldn't on a more mainstream social network
The people directly above me are quite clear this isn't a porn site but I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark here and guess that angiegirl's facebook picture isn't her holding her tits. Ardentmale's wallpaper on his profile is a close up of some cock jammed half way up a cunt (it's in black and white though so I guess that's erotic). Even the lovely Kiera has two images posted on her comments of people indulging in oral sex. Please don't think that I'm saying there's anything wrong with this. There's not but we have to face facts that a casual observer is going to think that this is - if not a porn site per se - then very much porn related.
There's always a level of subjectiveness that separates the erotic from the pornographic. There is some incredibly well written erotica on this site - there's also a lot of fuck-fiction here. Stories entitled something like "Fucking my 18 year old neighbour and her Mom" are likely to be more readily viewed as the latter rather than the former irrespective of their actual content.
Warning: The opinions above are those of an anonymous individual on the internet. They are opinions, unless they're facts. They may be ill-informed, out of touch with reality or just plain stupid. They may contain traces of irony. If reading these opinions causes you to be become outraged or you start displaying the symptoms of outrage, stop reading them immediately. If symptoms persist, consult a psychiatrist.
Why not read some stories instead
NEW! Want a quick read for your coffee break? Why not try this... Flash Erotica: Scrubber I always thought lush was a mail order house for pharmaceuticals. You mean its not?
“It's nice sometimes to open up the heart a little and let some hurt come in. It proves you're still alive.”
I guess by definition it is when the content is considered, I would consider it more a social networking site to meet new people and exchange thoughts and creativity and like on any social networking site create relationships with other people. Porn on the other hand is very to the point, can be quite impersonal and if it was your only guide for interaction with the opposite sex you wouldn't maintain very good relationships.
To call lush porn based on its content you would have to also call Facebook, twitter, myspace and tagged porn also if you consider some of the pictures and information that gets posted on them.
nope it is an erotic site not a porn site
Absolutely. Call it what you will it's porn. You can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig.
I'd say more erotic than pornographic; I tend to read the stories of and chat with those who favor eroticism over pornography; and avoid those who go more pornographic than erotic. It's the guy who asks me for the honor of eating me for two hours vs. the guy who says I'm going o fuck your brains out right now.
It's a mix of the pornographic & the erotic. People take out of it whichever aspect they want.
I personally go for the erotic over the pornographic. It's just what I want. To each their own though, I don't judge
you said it naughtyannie
if it is a "porn" site, it's not a very good one
I like it and the chat it can get very hot if you let it

cumonmesweetpuss
I like sexy sweet panties
oh but it is the woman that makes then sexy an sweet
It's a site were you can feel comforts blue talking sexually and get to have fun it's social media not porn
You might consider the erotic stories porn. But the site is not a porn site. It's more of a save space to explore your own sexuality and meet like minded people.
Sorry double post. It happens today for some reason.To11TPdsvZ81xJiH
I can see how some would view Lush as a porn site, but it's really why you are here that determines it. For me, it's a chance to spread my wings a little and let my imagination take my creativity for a ride. I enjoy writing and interacting with other writers... exchanging feedback and growing with others that share my passions. I've also discovered some wonderful friends here who I can talk with about any subject. For me, Lush is a wonderful community of like minded people I can share with.
Most will probably disagree with me but seeing that the mind is the largest sexual organ of all I'd say Lush is absolutely a porn site. Also the popularity of the category would lead me to believe that as well. I don't view porn as a negative thing so maybe that's the reason for my point of view.
Bunny12
Bunny Rabbits cute and fuzzy they want to love you but they have razor sharp teeth - don't piss them off! By the very definition of the word, yes it is a porn site. Having said that, it is a place where people can express their inner feelings, experiment in safety and explore their sexuality without prejudice, fear or judgement. It's also a place where people of any gender, sexuality and ethnicity can discuss their basic human need for love and sex.
Personally, I see it more as a retreat than a website, a place I can go and just be me. It can be erotic, heart-warming, buttock-warming and downright crude, but at the same time gentle, thought-provoking and stimulating to every part of me. So please, don't just look at it as a porn site, with the disgusting and negative connotations that word brings. Look at it as an opportunity for liberation. And long may it continue to be that way!
Not a porn site its a social outlet for those who have the right mindset to what is available to use on this site . You make it or use it to your own gain in any way that makes you happy and safe. For some it's an outlet and others its fantasy.
Hope that makes sense. Lol
I would have said that it was never designed as a porn site but due to the nature of the pictures and GIFs on peoples walls and albums, it has been allowed to become one.
