What year/model/make was your first vehicle?

Did you have a name for it?

Got a photo of what it looked like?

How long did you have it?
I'll go first; I have no shame. The first vehicle I owned was a 1951 Wards Riverside bicycle. The second was a Raleigh Rudge. The first motor vehicle I owned was a 1957 Cheverolet BelAir, four door sedan. I got it with roughly 100,000 miles on it, and drove it from 1963 to 1970. When I traded it in, it had almost 280,000 miles on it. The only reason I traded it in wast he trunk rusted out, and the gas tank fell off when I hit a pothole with it full. It dragged for a while (I thought it was the tailpipe) then the noise stopped. I pulled off the road when the motor died. I looked back i the mirror, just as it burst into flames. That was exciting.

My first car was a 1973 (I think) Ford Escort. If you imagine a car like the one in this picture but much crappier, and in red, that's about what mine looked like. I bought it for $1000 and my brother (a mechanic) had to rebuild the engine before I could drive it. It had a rubber glove covering some part of the engine - I can't remember which one - because it kept stalling every time water got under the car when it rained heavily. I also used to have to scrape ice from the inside of the window in winter and the heater never worked in the four years I had it. I loved that car though. It had...character. And no power steering. My arms used to get a good workout from driving.

An old bicycle found at the dump no idea what it was guessing an old 50's or 60's Schwinn(miss that old bike) honestly I don't own a car doubt I will either LOL

6 years ago I had a gray 1984 Ford Mustang. It was bad faded out and the radio didn't work. It caught on fire one day in the parking lot at school my senior year in high school. It just burned up while we all watched and was completely engulfed by the time the fire department got there. My friends all took pictures of it. One girl even made an MP3 of it.

Ahhh my first car: my first love. There have been others since but there is a special place in my heart for this car:

at first it seemed silly for my parents to help me buy this car, but in reality they knew what they were doing when they steered me to a 2 seater. bucket seats witha shifter in the middle & no bck seat. lol.
Ahhh... The Beast. 1980 Chevy Scottsdale half-ton truck. It was my grandfathers and I loved that truck.
He left it to me when he passed away. Unfortunately, I was 7. I had to wait another 9yrs before I could drive it legally.
I had it for another 10yrs until some punk made an illegal left turn, right into my front quarter panel and bent the frame into the wheel well.

The first vehicle I bought was a 1975 Mustang II. I call it The Smurf. Its factory blue with a white leather interior.
My dad turned me into a grease monkey that summer to fix it up. We had to rebuild the engine.
He told me a girl should know how to fix it or at least know whats wrong with it so I wouldn't get swindled at a garage.
My dad is gone now but I still have that car and the memories.

busts up laughing ... I bet!! And imagine how much it costs NOW compared to 1988 to fill up the beast! You would need a second income!!
A red, 1971 ZD Ford Fairlane....I miss that car soooo much!
First car I bought and owned was a Maroon Ford Cortina 1600 L . 1976. - bought it in 1981 for R2800. My pride and joy
Did not manage to get a photo as it was stolen one Saturday night 3 months after I bought it. I had no insurAnce,so I continued To pay for it for another two years.
my first vehicle was a gift ....

A rebuilt 1967 powder blue Cougar .... (similar to this one)

I had it for the duration of grade 12 ... until it was totalled. Such a shame. The inside was crush blue bucket seats! What a great car. puurrrrrrrr

Triumph TR4A
Drove it like crazy, blew the motor and dropped in a Mustang 289 V8 to replace the 4. Had to add a hood opening for the airfilter, remote the oil filter, and run straight pipes with only a resonator. Looked good, sounded amazing and ran like a Cobra. Named it Shadowfax after the winged horse in the Tolkien's Trilogy.

My first car....

I called him Boris! lol

Best wee car ever!! I learned so much from him!!

The Mini

Brilliant wee cars!!!
My first, and still my favourite vehicle, was a red BMX complete with the wee foam bits around the frame. I loved the thing, even when it caused me some terrible injuries, like the time I came off it doing God knows what speed and skidded about 3 feet along the pavement, causing a giant cut on my side that didn't stop bleeding for ages and I still have the scar and the bike, both of which I love.
1993 Pontiac Grand Am GT
1965 Morris 1100 - well you should've seen me then and it was going cheap
1977 Chevy 1/2ton Silverado 4x4. Still own it.
A 1993 Black Chevy GMC Suburban. It has a body lift and tires half my size!!!
I love my truck, we like to call it the Monster smile
1969 green buick lesabre..... paid cash... drove it until it died.......
