Announcing the winners of our Anti-Valentine competition

This was a really popular competition going by the number of entries. So much so, that our shortlister this time around gave the judges a top eleven to decide between, rather than ten. It happens from time to time, and is an indication of the quality of writers we have here.

In the end though, the win goes to Sprite, with her decidedly eerie tale. This one it seems had most folk reading it twice to see if there were clues they'd missed first time around, and just got creepier the more you thought about it.

Runner-up medal goes to Jaymal, with his particular take on a revenge fuck, and boy does it make most of us wish we'd been bad.

Rounding out the podium places is WannabeWordsmith, who fit so much fucking into his story, I swear I had to go and check the word count.

Well done, you three. I'll be in touch re prizes.

To everyone who participated, thank you for making this such a difficult, if entertaining, comp to judge. The full top ten is listed here, so well done to you all.

A new competition will be announced shortly.

1. Ellie - Sprite ($150)

2.vRO6gwEWxw5fbyM1 ($100)

3. Exes and Ohs - WannabeWordsmith ($50)

4. Women of Dark Desires - StarBelliedBoy

5. Quick. My Husband. Run - dronette56

6. I Planned To Walk In On Them, But... - TroubledsomeBard

7. Happy Fucking Valentine's Day - Techgoddess

8. Necrowhore - Piquet

9. Blood, Cum, and Tears - KimmiBeGood

10. Bye-Bye, Daddy - SlutRuinator

Great work, everyone. Congrats to the podium winner and the top ten! I loved this comp.

Am I a good witch, or a bad witch? History will decide

Congratulations Rachel, Jake, and WW, as well as all the other winners! It was a great competition, and I was blown away by both the quantity and quality of the entries!

Amazing comp – and congratulations to Jen and those who set it and judged it!

Well done, all!

Considering the number of deaths recounted by the stories in the past two competitions, could the next one have a rule that everyone lives (more or less) happily ever after?

Congratulations to the writers extraordinaire on the podium: Sprite, Wicked Jake, and WW! worship

And to all brave enough to enter - be proud! :worship:

Way more than ten great stories, yet again. Thanks to Jen, judges, and mods who had to make time to read and approve all these entries.

TroubledsomeBard... killer story! 😎 You gave me a big smile when I needed it.

Super huge congrats! Such wonderful and talented writers!

Lol, I'll see what I can do smile

Massive congrats to my fellow podiumers and to everybody who entered. A terrific field full of varied stories. No way I could have whittled it down to just ten for consideration. Thank you to whoever did, and the judges for deliberating.

Although there are a tonne of fab stories I could pimp, I echo Kimmi in giving TroublesomeBard a special mention. Superbly entertaining story, and if you haven't read it, please do.

Heck, just read them all. I'm proud to be part of this pool of talent we have here on the site. Congratulations to one and all involved - contestants and the team keeping the site cogs turning.

Please browse my digital bookshelf. In this collection, you can find 115 full stories, 10 micro-stories, and 2 poems with the following features:

Lol, lets just say 'everyone lives' ... happily every after would rule out so many story ideas 😈

Well done Sprite, Jaymal & Mr. Wordsmith, and the warmest congratulations to you all. There are so many brilliant writers here, the stories were excellent, and this was so much fun to take part in.

Unfortunately, there was a body count in mine, and they will strike again, freed from this competition. Look what you have started...

Bonne chance, mes amis. 😘

This is my collection of muses and stories. Stories of note include:

Little Bird - A true story of submission and dominance set in Paris between an older couple and their younger lover.

Le Weekend - Six lives intertwined during one weekend create events that change their lives forever.

What a great group of stories! Congratulations Sprite, Jaymal, & WW, and thanks to everyone for their stories!

Congratulations to the podium winners and the top 10.

I kind of skimmed past this one both as a writer and reader for personal reasons, but I still offer my congratulations to the winners and top 10. Maybe next comp.

Google "Hopepunk". Might generate a comp idea in and of itself. 😉

A woman goes shopping in the local mall. But what the heck is she shopping for in that outfit? My Festive Flash comp entry.

Minnie's Merry Mall Christmas

Congratulations to sprite, WW, the other top-tenners, and those who would have graced it equally with their wicked, biting stories. Thanks to Jen and anyone else who had input into the creation of this deliciously evil competition.
As for body counts, I bumped off a couple of characters in my previous comp entry, so this time the only casualties were pride and romantic dreams.
Great fun, everyone. Now I have further Anti-Valentine stories on which to catch up...

well... fuck. i was not, in all honesty, expecting this. (i actually liked Dronette's a lot and was hoping it would win). i don't know what to say other than thank you and that i have fun doing these - i think that's the real win- being pushed to write something a little different and challenging yourself. for the record, i will NOT be spending my ill-gotten gains on sex toys or panties, so Buz can just keep quiet here lol seriously, just woke up to this and a bit flabbergasted.

Congratulations to all the winners of this intensely competitive competition, and thank you to the team involved with it. Such a fantastic number of quality stories. 👍

Congrats to everyone, the top 10s and all the contestants for coming up with entertaining and varied entries to the comp. Sprite, Jay and WW, special congrats to you!

As always, thank you all for taking part and sharing your stories with us. It was great to see so many new names in there, and known names who haven't participated in a comp for a while. Lastly, I'd like to give a shout-out to Babygirl4u and AmuseBouche for their outstanding stories.

Make the fact you have nothing a story. Never know where that could take you.

I plan on doing a hyperbolic story on me and my writing at some point.

Been there, done that, you'll never look at E=mc2 in the same way again: I present a story that wasn't too shabby in the time travel competition:

Starting over

And by the way, soon isn't, how shall I put this, Rachel: the world's most precise answer.
