Rain
Angel woke, hungover but elated. She smiled, rolled over and reached… but he was gone. Flummoxed, she struggled to recall the night, but as fragments coalesced they devoured her serenity.
She reached under her nightgown and touched. Jumping up, she dashed outside into the rain. Waving a broken umbrella, she ran barefooted into the wet grey, plaintively wailing, then desperately moaning “I’ve got to find him! I’ve got to explain.”
