Nora
Nora’s stomach was in knots as she sat at her desk on Monday afternoon, waiting for her meeting with Olivia. The team that had been assembled for the Indigo Lights campaign was getting together to meet with the client and go over what would be expected of them on this project.
This would be the first time Nora and Olivia would see each other since Saturday morning, when Nora was rushed out of Olivia’s apartment after a night of some of the best sex she had ever had. She had been thinking about Olivia and their passionate night together all weekend. She was excited to see her again, but at the same time, her nerves were getting the best of her. She had no idea what Olivia was going to say or how she would act when they finally saw each other.
Nora checked the time. Their meeting was set to start in a couple of minutes. She gathered up her laptop and phone and made her way to Olivia’s office on the other side of the floor. Olivia’s assistant, Andrew, ushered her into the room. Nora was the last to arrive, taking a seat at the end of the small conference table.
Olivia had been idly chatting with the man sitting to her right as they waited to begin. When she noticed Nora’s presence, she turned and gave her a small smile, sending lightning strikes directly into Nora’s heart.
As the meeting began, Nora found her mind, once again, getting carried away with thoughts of Olivia. She watched intently as Olivia confidently commanded the room, every bit the professional businesswoman she knew her to be.
But as Nora looked upon the leggy blond in her sky blue pantsuit that so perfectly matched the oceanic blues of her eyes, Nora couldn’t help but imagine the body that she now knew lay beneath those designer clothes. Her smooth, soft skin, with the lightest scattering of freckles across her shoulders. Her pale pink nipples, so sensitive, that she gasped into Nora's ear any time she so much as grazed them with her fingertips. The soft blond hair between her legs that glimmered with her arousal as they ground against each other.
Nora could feel the heat rise from her chest up to her face as she fantasized about her boss’s body and all of the naughty things she still wanted to do with her. She hoped no one else at the table could see how red she had become. She felt like she was wearing her arousal all over her face. Like there was a giant neon sign reading, ‘I fucked the boss! And boy, oh boy, do I want to do it again!’ pointing right at her.
Thankfully, their meeting wasn’t a long one. Nora didn’t think she could stand this torture much longer.
“That’s all for today, everyone. Thanks for your time,” Olivia said as she dismissed the small group. “Nora, hang back a minute, will you?” Olivia asked quietly as everyone else made their way toward the door.
Nora stood next to the table, her heart and mind racing as she waited. She watched as Olivia closed the door behind the last person to leave.
“Hi,” Olivia said sweetly as she approached Nora.
“Hi,” Nora echoed, biting her lip, trying to hide her growing smile.
“Come sit with me? I’d like to talk.”
Olivia took Nora’s hand and guided her over to the loveseat on the other side of her office. She sat with her body facing Nora, one long arm draped over the back of the supple leather sofa.
“How was the rest of your weekend?” Olivia asked.
“It was good. Pretty uneventful though, considering…” Nora felt heat rising in her cheeks as more images of their night together filled her brain. “How about you? Is everything okay?” she asked, concern thickening her tone as she remembered the way Olivia rushed her out the door to take care of some unknown emergency.
Olivia’s eyes shifted to something behind Nora’s head as she ran a hand through her hair. “Eh, not really. But it will be fine. It’s nothing to worry about,” she said, letting out a heavy sigh. Whatever had happened after the two parted ways on Saturday had clearly left Olivia quite shaken.
“Is it anything you want to talk about?” Nora asked gently.
“No. I really don’t want to think about any of that right now. Not while I’m with you,” she replied, giving Nora a sweet smile.
The easy radiance of Olivia’s smile turned Nora’s knees so weak, she was glad she was already sitting down. But she could see that something still lay behind Olivia’s eyes. Pain? Hurt? Sadness? She couldn’t tell exactly. But whatever undefinable emotion it was that had settled in Olivia’s spirit, pulled tight at Nora’s heartstrings.
She’d always been a bit of a “bleeding heart”, as her father liked to put it. Maybe some would call her an empath, most might just call her naive. But whatever it was that made her so aware of the melancholy seeping from the woman sitting next to her made her want to reach out and wrap her arms around Olivia. To hold her tight until all of her worries melted away.
Before Nora could lose herself any further to her own thoughts, Olivia quickly moved on.
“I have to apologize again for the way I left things that morning.”
“It’s okay, I understand. Plus, you’ve already apologized profusely,” Nora said with a small laugh.
“Yeah, but I want to make it up to you. I leave tonight to go to Atlanta for a few days, but I’d like to take you to dinner Friday night. What do you say?”
“I would love that.” Nora beamed as the fluttering of those familiar butterflies rippled through her belly.
Olivia leaned in close to Nora until their lips were only inches apart. “Perfect. It’s a date,” she whispered as she lifted her hand to push a loose strand of hair behind Nora’s ear.
Nora’s hand found its way to Olivia’s thigh as she moved closer, closing the distance between them. She kissed her softly at first, but as soon as Olivia’s lips parted, reciprocating her desire, Nora couldn’t help but deepen their kiss. Passion and lust took hold as she slid her tongue into Olivia’s mouth, moaning quietly as she lost herself in the softness of her supple lips.
