This little image (a painting by the French artist Fragonard) must be one of the earliest examples of the delights of looking up women's skirts - and discovering that they're wearing no knickers!
I recognise that my secret pleasure is technically voyeurism, and I accept that there are some aspects of this general kink (ie secret sexual watching), which some may find distasteful. But up-skirts, I maintain, is not one of them, since there is a degree of collusion between the viewer and the viewed. I get a vicarious thrill from seeing up a woman's skirt at her most private place; while she, for her part (expecting me to look there) has helpfully omitted to wear panties!
