I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this but here goes. I have had my first short story published but was a bit disappointed to find that after 10 days only 8 people had scored it and only 2 had left a comment (one of which I didn't really understand). Yesterday I realised that on your profile page it shows how many people have viewed ( read ? ) your story. I was amazed to find that over 2000 had viewed it . Is this a normal ratio ? Do so few people give any feedback at all ? Or should I take it as a reflection on my story ? I have a couple of other episodes in the pipeline and had hoped to have a bit of constructive feedback before deciding whether to publish them or not. Any info from you authors would be welcome.

Many years ago I was strip searched coming in to Heathrow, London from India. I'd spent 6 months there and Nepal, mostly walking in the Himalayas but also travelling around a bit. I was made to strip completely and made to bend over. Fortunately I didn't get the finger up the arse treatment but it was close. They completely trashed my luggage looking through it all. They found nothing. I asked them why they picked me but they are not obligated to tell you anything. Customs have more powers than the police who at least have to tell you why they have detained you. You may say they are just doing a job but they are despicable people to take such a job. They are the sort of people who would have happily staffed the concentration camps. Nothing remotely sexual in that experience just deeply humiliating and profoundly unjust .

My question is - I have posted a couple of stories on another site that hosts erotic fiction. I would like to share these with LS Readers. I have noticed in FAQ's that it is forbidden to promote or add links to other such sites ( fair enough ) but is it permitted to put stories on LS that have already appeared on other sites ?

I recently became a Follower of an author called 'Cuntagious'. Today it seems that she is no longer on my Following list and when I clicked on a link I had to one of her stories I got the '404 not found' screen .
What has happened ? Is it possible for an author to block someone from seeing their stories or anything about them ? I don't know why that would have happened as I wrote a very complimentary comment about her stories. I then looked on the Authors list and she is not there anymore. Maybe she has revoked her membership of LS. If someone does leave does that mean that all trace of them is removed from the site or do the stories they have posted remain ? Any thoughts on the subject would be appreciated. Her 4 stories were some of the best I have yet found on LS so am very disappointed to have lost her !

If I am accepted by someone as their friend what is the significance of this ? Do I need to be their friend to chat with them or send them emails ? Are there any other advantages to being a friend ?
