My wife is finally going back to work after eight months of unemployment. She will be gone for the next three months, but close enough to home that she can come home if she gets four or five days off in a row. The last week has been a little hectic trying to get everything ready,and the last two have about killed me. My legs are sore, and my back is killing me. For tonight, I am laying in bed being lazy. My laptop, the charging port burnt out of it. The dogs and I had an arguement one afternoon and the laptop fell of my lap and onto the floor, the side where the port is. The cord was plugged in and rammed into the port. It was okay for a few days, but it popped one day, started smoking and was done working. The laptop if fine, I was able to log onto with just the battery, but without he port and ability to charge battery, it is now sitting in my room not being used. Is it easy to change these ports out? Are they interchangable from other computers? Any help appreciated.
