Interests
I love to dance. I adore the human form in motion; the beauty of the way the muscles, nerves, and bones work in concert to create art. Although my dancing my not be as much of an art form as a professional ballerina, it still instills joy and satisfaction every time I do. I also have more than a passing interest in cars and similar, perhaps for the same reasons.
Favorite Authors
Long-time favorite is Madeline L'Engle. Lately reading Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series, Chloe Neill's Chicagoland Vampires series, and Kim Harrison, first The Hallows series, and now the Drafter series that she is just getting started. Tend towards anything that is an urban fantasy, maybe because I am so practical in real life and have an urge to release myself from the constraints of reality every once in awhile.
Favorite TV Shows
Have a strange obsession with "Pretty Little Liars." Prior to its end a couple years ago enjoyed "True Blood" and was a faithful weekly watcher. Most TV I watch is Nick Jr (?) due to local popular demand. Also tend to read more than watch TV.
Favorite Music
I love musical soundtracks, from Disney to Sondheim. On a day to day basis, listen to a lot of country, like any Southern girl, because they usually have decent harmonies and the lyrics are about real life. As far as rock artists, I adore Halestorm and Pretty Reckless, also Hell Yeah and Disturbed. Overal eclectic tastes, mostly dependent on lyrical it and how well I can sing along. ;-)
