So, never done this before. But, I need this. I have been married for way too long, and curbed my inner self way too much. I hope, in this forum, without judging eyes, I can talk to people. I was very conscious about my body, until I decided to embrace it.

You are a wonderfully attractive lady.

Hi Paul. I have just rectified that. You do not need to take any action.

Thank you, John, you always solve these things, don't you?

I once again have a message asking me to check and/or update my email address as apparently Lush are having trouble notifying me that I have messages.

Firstly, the email address in my settings is correct and also I have been receiving notification emails to that address earlier today so if there is a problem, it is very new.

I can, if necessary, change the email address to which notifications are to be sent.

Can someone please advise if it is necessary to do so?

Thank you.

It’s nice to see some parts of Lush v1 restored lol

Yes, if site crashes are coming back can we ask for some other things that we would like back, please?

Profile Views again not working for me (it says 'No profiles meet this criteria',) but as Lush has only just started working at all for me, and I assume others, I suppose it will come back.

Seems to be working for me now. Thank you for fixing it.

Thank you. I will check on it from time to time anyway.

Maybe so many women are looking at my profile that they crashed it. I look forward to getting it back, thank you.

Hi Paul. Whats the reason you believe there is an issue?

Hi John. If I click on Profile Views I get a message saying 'An error occurred during execution, please try again later.'

Same if I try through Activity.

I assume the fact that Profile Views is not working applies to others and not just to me. I have not raised a ticket but will do so if required.

Sometimes the title for me is a quote from the story, as in my 'How Fascinating' series which stems from something that one of the main characters says. The story (and title) all came from that quote, although I had the basic idea for the story before that.

It does take a nanosecond to register but you'll see that little star pop up on right hand corner of message. Tried it again and the second time it took bit longer. Just a little bit.

Thanks. It was only yesterday that I started having problems with it, none before that.

I was thinking that maybe starring messages was no longer possible but now it seems it takes a bit more patience. It had seemed to be more or less instant before.

Thank you all for your answers.

In the past I have had no problems starring messages.

I have just managed to star one message but not another, it is weird.

Edit- I got the second one starred now, but it took a lot of clicking in various places.

Thanks again for the answers.

At the moment it does not seem to be possible to star messages that I want to keep.

Can you please advise if this is a problem unique to me and if it is a universal problem, is it temporary or is it something that is no longer going to be possible?

Thank you.

This is my first contribution to this thread, but I do have 385 (I think) stories on here at the moment.

The way I write, almost anything leaves the possibility or even necessity of further parts, so a story becomes a series. I think the longest one went to eleven parts, but that could still possibly be added to.

The trouble with this is that I still have loads of stories that could/should have further parts.

I have started Part 5 of my current masterpiece which started with 'How Fascinating' subsequent parts have been numbered 2, 3 and 4- clever eh?

When writing what becomes a series I am anxious not to become too repetitive so it is a relief sometimes to think of something that allows the story to go at a bit of a tangent or adds another character or two. That was what happened in this case because even after Part 3 I was wondering where to go with it without it just being a repeat of what had gone before.

Thanks for reading this- and maybe for reading my 385 stories!

That's what I think is happening. People on Lush who like my work tend to read, score, and comment early on. After that, a lot of the readership are guests or drivebys. However, I found that with the old system, too. My older stories on my previous account got scored and commented so rarely after the first month or so that even getting a one was a "whoa, someone noticed it" moment.😊

I occasionally find that somebody new joins the site, discovers and enjoys one of my stories and then wades through my back catalogue. I sometimes still get a like on stories that are more than two years old.

edit- more than THREE years old, I have enjoyed myself so much that I have lost track of time!

I don't know, but perhaps give it time. You've only been here a week.😊

On the plus side, you have a most interesting profile, have registered eighty forum posts and made twenty-five friends.

I don't know where you find the time.

AND she has not had a friend request from me yet, Jayne.

I hope that you are well and that your group is thriving. x

How on earth do you come to that conclusion? I take a day off and the sky starts falling, lol.

Apologies for the button not working as intended. I've reported this to the dev team and will feed back.

Note to myself-'Do not touch recall button.'

Quote by simplyjohn

Has this been addressed Paul and thus closed effectively?

I have not yet edited the story, John, because it is very recent, but I will do it today.

I have had contact with a Mod and I know what to do, so it will be closed effectively but is not yet.

Usually when I write a series I write down all names and ages used to avoid putting in a wrong name, but I had not done so in this instance and I gave a character a surname that I had used for someone else and not the surname that I had given them.

Quote by IMPURETHOUGHTS

I'm pretty sure you can pvt message a story mod for them to correct an error instead of creating a thread.

https://www.lushstories.com/meet-team

I am not sure that it can be done this way, but I know that you know how most things Lush work, so you might well be right.

I thought that I would have to edit my own story but maybe a Mod can correct the name (in this instance) remotely.

I have just discovered that I have given a character in a recent story an incorrect surname. The name that I have given them is different to the one I had given them in an earlier story in a series.

Am I correct in thinking that I can edit it/correct it without the story disappearing from the site and being returned to a Mod?

Please advise.

Thank you.

Please ignore, I have got the answer, I now know that the story will disappear but probably not for long

Quote by WannabeWordsmith

No, the queue length varies daily and moderators don't always get to stories they claim immediately. Sometimes we grab a story and then something in real life draws focus off the site, or we need to discuss elements of a story among ourselves, which takes time.

There are no guarantees on processing times. It may take a little longer on occasion, especially if we have a lot of bigger stories in the queue from Gold members.

Thanks for your understanding.

I do understand that I am not the only person writing stories for this site and I truly appreciate the work that all the moderators do for authors and for the site.

I had been having numerous problems with the site (which removing trackers since has seemed to cure) and I wondered if the then non-appearance of my story online after 26 hours (which was when I first discovered it and mentioned it) was connected. Seemingly, there was no connection.

Quote by simplyjohn

All sorted I believe. smile

Yes, thank you for your help as always, John.

I don't know if the problems that I was having within the site caused my story to disappear for more than a day and a half but it is online now, so all is good.

It would appear that the extensive problems that I was having with the site were being caused by something within my computer because a 'clear trackers' run has apparently solved the problems.

My 'missing' story has been located too it seems!

Quote by simplyjohn

Im on it Paul... shouldnt be too long now.

Thanks John.

Quote by simplyjohn

Is this the story?

https://www.lushstories.com/stories/lesbian/the-ladies-fashion-shop/edit

If so its in your drafts folder. If not there is certainly no story from you in the verification queue.

No, it is entitled 'Exactly What She Needed - Part 4' and it says on my page currently being reviewed. I submitted it 36 hours ago now but see if I can submit it again.

It says currently assigned to a moderator and cannot be recalled.

What do I do about this 'missing' story please?

More strange goings on for me today!

I have been away from the internet for many hours but having now got into Lush:-

1) I had trouble logging in.

2) Still the same problem with not getting anything when I click on 'Home.'

3) If I click on the magnifying glass, I get the home page! (but no search facility)

4) I submitted a sorry about 26 hours ago and as a Platinum member, I am surprised to see that it is still awaiting approval. With all the other things happening (or rather not happening) I wonder if the story is actually in the queue.

Please advise.

(I should add that I just logged out, logged in without problem, got 'Home' page and magnifying glass actually does a search! So maybe the only question at the moment is where is my story please?)

That's something we have in common. I too had an issue w/ lushstories malfunctioning and others weren't having an issue as it was to do w/ the browser and device I was using.

Ok, I'll let it be, for now, but if issue pursuits, do post here w/ browser info and I'll see.

(Pssst, I pretty much have nothing to do until I need to human at 6AM lol )

I am pleased to keep you occupied but it is almost 12:30 here.

I do appreciate your concern and if the problem continues, I will get back to you, or to The Forum.

Quote by IMPURETHOUGHTS

Which browser are you using?

Is your device up to date on software update?

I know that my own device was acting up for a while and after two updates from Samsung, it's now working properly.

Let me know the browser and I'll check if I get the same issue.

Thank you, but please don't concern yourself with it.

I made the original post because I assumed that it was a problem common to all or many users but unless it gets worse, or other problems crop up, I can cope with it.

The problem might disappear.

Thank you anyway.

Paul
