Perhaps it is a medical issue that needs to be addressed, perhaps he just doesn't like it. Ask him if he could try it maybe once a week for short interludes. Visiting a doctor may also help. Good luck.
Not french kissing me is a deal breaker. If I'm more than a passing casual relationship, then you need to do it. It is the most intimate of intimacies and honestly, I've left every romantic relationship I've had after I'd stop wanting to kiss him/her in that manner.

I understand why you'd tell him to write, but I also understand why he may feel he needs a muse.
Unfortunately, some of us aren't as gifted when it comes to inspiration or imagination, and often find that motivation is lacking without a muse. I am not that person though. I, like you it seems, find that she is a fickle being; knowing this, I do my best to tap in while she's around, but I don't rely on her appearance. I try to write as often as I can and if it's lacking, I don't post it. I believe my muse is inside me, that may sound as if I'm a little schizo but it is what it is. My complaint these days is that if she pops up, I have to ignore her as my time is spread thin these days.

I was a Senior Mod here for YEARS. In that time, I entered several comps. I never even placed top-ten. (In fact once there was a top-eleven and I wasn't even in that either!) And I'm FUCKING good...
Comp decisions have FUCK ALL to do with who you are here, how long you've been with us, how active you are etc... Comp entries are treated as STAND ALONE pieces NO MATTER WHO WRITES THEM.
Happy to clear that one up. AGAIN!

This was discussed at length before, and because other members thought mods win because we know and discuss ideas, Nicki decided to no longer discuss them. She decides on her own and make the announcement, and guess what.... Mods still win.

I don't recall any character or parts of a setting that I didn't glean from something or someone real. There are just too many opportunities to do so: the sexy hunk that's in line staring at me while his girlfriend or wife pays for their merchandise, the seemingly shy librarian that has an undercurrent of sexual heat just barely contained under the surface, and the powerful businessman texting in the elevator--too many things that my mind takes a note or an image of; how are we to pass those things up?
Let's face it, and I'm not saying about the numerous talented authors here, but often we need that little bit of reality to set the right tone in a story. It's foolish to think that artistry isn't shared.
