What an awesome idea for a forum thread!
For me I guess two things come to mind: 1) I'd like an actual relationship that doesn't explode and 2) I'd like to focus long enough to write an actual story here.

I would like to quite carefully squeeze all the story ideas out of my head, and slap 'em down on paper so I can get some peace. But I feel like that's going to take a while, so I will settle for just getting one more story written!

Oh, I don't do well with the long ones. I did self-publish an ADHD book. Not really for profit, I just printed a bunch and put in doctor's offices for parents. I published with Amazon/Kindle publisher.

Personally the clock is ticking and I am hearing that. Professionally, I am dipping my toe in management, so want to see if that is for me.
I love writing and oddly enough given all the comments above about novels, my goal on Lush was to learn how to write short. I had never written anything under 10,000 words until I joined here. So getting micro and especially flash written is for me an accomplishment.
Another goal is to get more of my friends following Brooke's advice "If you want to write, write! That's my one piece of advice. Don't worry about feedback, just write. Write what you like, what turns you on, what interests you, even what you are curious about. Write, read it, edit it, and when you are happy about it, submit."
The next big writing goal is easy to say, but harder for me to do; to actually finish more stuff. I have over 200,000 words of unpublished stories, some at the final edit stage and more about half to three quarters written. And I have at least 6 stories live at the moment. Thank God for competitions, they have deadlines.

my wife bought me a guitar a few years back, cause i'd wanted to learn, and yeah, i picked it up pretty easily - there's tons of How to Play vids on youtube - that and practice should do the trick.

Ok, me first
I've an ambition to gather all my childhood friends at one place
I just finished a masters in org development and change and was told by a professional coach that pulling together several case studies I did could be turned into a book because few white papers or books covered OD&C in the military, so ive been mulling that over, as well as a possible PMP cert if I decide to get out, so thats been plaguing my mind over the last few weeks.
I'm drinking a nice ale from a local brewery, and searching my mind for some inspiring motivation to move forward with that idea.

It's a small thing but I've been trying so hard for so long. I've entered 35 competitions on Lush and I've never won. I did come close with a 4th place story. I've been lucky enough to be in the honorable mentions 13 times. But I would love to get a winner.
