DLizze ... is that in order??
Yes, except I owned the Harley Sprint, and the Lanmbretta both at the same time, from 1975 to 1990, and the Honda from 1991 until last September. So the motorcycles overlap the cars by quite a bit. Also, yoiu have to understand, I got the '57 Chevy in 1963, and have owned vehicles continuously evr since. I am not exactly a youngster. LOL ALso, I did not count cars that I had licensed for fewer than six omnths - there were several others, that I bought, fixed up, drove for a while, then got an offer on that I could not refuse. LOL
THere are a couple of Italian and French ones in that mix.
About ten years ago, just for fun, my brother and I counted how many we had owned, lkicensed, and driven between us, and did not count the ones we sold or traded to each other, more than once. The total was 45.
SHit - I am only counting 26 - there shoukld be another one - OH - I remember - after my dad died in 2003, I licensed and drove his old truck for a while - a '66 VW "Dropside" Pickup
Interestingly, the most reliable of the bunch, and the only ones that saw over 250,000 miles were the '57 Chey and the '87 Jaguar. I have 186,000 oin the Geo Tracker - that one will probably last another 100,000. It is pretty easy to work on and keep running.
MY favorites to drive were the Daimler, the Healey 3000, and the Jaguar XJ-6. I'd buy another of any of those ina heartbeat, had I the ready cash.
The best off-road vehicles were the Scout and the Geo. Both the Jeep and the Blazer are absoulte crap in seroius rough driving conditions. The Volvos were better on fire trails than either the Jeep or the Blazer. (and the XJ-6 did surprisingly well on unpaved roads, too)
I got a few wide-eyed stares in the hills of West Virginia with the Jag, though. LOL
