Wouldn't you rather have a nice cup of tea?

The actual fingers on the keyboard part, not so much. There's still an energy, but it's more creative than horny. However, I don't usually get to that point if I haven't first been fantasizing about a situation for some time and have probably masturbated to it a few times before setting a single word down of a story. Also, as a writer, I also get turned on by the thought of others reading my work and becoming aroused. Knowing that something I've produced has had that effect on someone else is really exciting, and probably one of the biggest reasons I continue submitting to the site.

Don't believe everything that you read.

I write a lot of fetish stuff including a few full length novels that I have published. Yes, I always get aroused when I write this stuff. Who doesn't? Because I have a panty fetish and always masturbate while wearing panties, I wear panties while writing, sometimes just panties. I have never had a session of writing without masturbating at some stage. Usually this is when I am done writing for the day, re-read what I have written, then if I am satisfied with it, I satisfy myself. I guess that is what it is all about. That tells me that what I have written is on target to satisfy readers.

I've only ever written one erotic story & only when I came here. It was purely a sex scene with no scene setting so yes when first writing it, the arousal is intense & lasts for as long as the writing lasts - as someone said, the video of the scene is playing in your head.

But I've learned that the being aroused does not lead to good writing & the story needs to be revisited later & edited to make it more readable - this is not arousing, except maybe in parts.

Yes. Whether I’m writing based on my own fantasy or just a random story, I try to imagine it so I hopefully describe how it feels better but In turn, makes me very aroused

I write because I’m horny. If you don’t get horny writing it, how do you expect others to get horny reading it?

I'm always emotionally affected in some way when I write. Sometimes I'm aroused, other times I feel other things. Surprisingly, my last Gay Male story had me pretty aroused while writing. smile

Most certainly! If what you’re writing doesnt turn you on its not worth writing. Also you need to be aroused to be able to put your feelings into words that arouse others.

I write short erotic stories a lot but never had the courage to post, they definitely turn me on, if they don’t then I stop writing!

Yep. Usually it's a bit o' pre-cum getting loose.

Yes, more regular changes of underwear needed since joining Lush - the sperm factory is on overtime - day & night shift work - the little critters never seem to tire smile

Let's just say I have to take breaks. 🤣

There is a fine balance between "horny enough to write good smut" and "so horny coming up with words is hard".

Always look on the bright side of life... and also my profile because I write erotica you might enjoy.

My stories have a lot of past sexual history engrained in each one. The majority of what I write has happened. It is awesome to put down our exploits and going back and editing the story, making it better is just as erotic! The old boy is hard most of the time!!

Not as a hard rule (heh) but some times. Mine are very story driven so I spend a lot of time figuring out characters and plots which aren’t always sexy sexy all the time. When I am on the sensual bits I normally am aroused by it either during or after the fact. Sometimes I’m so focused on explaining what’s happening in an understandable way that it’s just not arousing at the time. I’ll normally sit on the story for a few days and reread it.

Where I normally get those horny feelings is daydreaming on ideas that will become the erotica.

I specifically don’t take ‘breaks’, if I catch your meaning. I think that welled up internal tension helps me write, releasing the pressure seems to weaken the work.

Yes, definitely. Especially when I'm sketching out the initial outline of the story, I need to take frequent breaks.

I haven't posted any public stories here, but I've done my fair share of writing personal, specific fantasies for individuals over the years. And yes, it always makes me horny. Eventually I'll get to the point where it's a struggle to keep my hands on the keyboard and off my cock. I always have to cum when I'm done.

Not for the majority of it.

The 'normal' part of the story where it's just dialogue and getting to know the characters, nope. And it takes time for me to get revved up when the 'sex' part comes into play. Furthermore, the sex only comes out in the draft when I am feeling horny. That's when it flows. Sometimes it could be a while before I get back to a draft because of that.

If there's a lot of sexual tension early up, then yeah, I was feeling that feeling.

I haven't published anything on here yet, but I've written private erotica for specific women before. It always makes me so horny. I always have to get myself off when I'm done.

I find writing takes my full attention inasmuch as I write very quickly thus whatever emotion comes is transitory. A reread might get something to bubble up but usually both writing and proof reading are academic rather than sensual.

Generally no, but it has happened. Writing my first true story made me very horny!

Yes, sometimes I’ll lie down and block out scenes in my head. This process can really turn me on.

Oh hell yes. I get more excited, and pause more frequently to jerk off, when I'm writing it than when I'm reading it.
