Some of us post pictures on the walls of our friends here on Lush. Some post funny, erotic or porn. It's always puzzled me why a lot of guy friends post a picture of a naked woman on my wall. I'm a straight girl and my profile clearly says that. I don't really want pictures of naked women on my wall. A funny joke pic, an erotic picture of a woman or couple would be nicer, even a picture of a naked guy would be better.
In my opinion, it would be no different to me posting a picture of a naked man on a guy's profile page.
2 Questions....
1. For those of you who do, why do you put a pic of a naked woman on a woman's profile page?
2. Would you like it if a woman put a pic of a naked man on your profile page?
Most women can appreciate the beauty of the female form, as I'm sure you do. We don't do it as an attempt to turn you on. A naked woman is sexy regardless of your sexual preference, and most don't mind it. I always find something that I'm sure they will like, and it's not about the sexual aspect. Maybe they like a certain style of photo, so I always try and find something they will like. As for guy pics, searching tumblr for a guy pic isn't my thing. If someone doesn't want women posted on their walls, they can just tell me. I only post couples photos on one wall here. I actually find some of the couples stuff that I see people post on others walls a little confronting, not to mention the comments. I don't know what they are thinking with what they post and say.
only time i have ever posted a naked female was if the woman is bi and likes that sorta thing.
actually...i'm not sure it was ever a single female but rather lesbionic shenanigans. :O
but Syd has a point. i notice many straight females enjoy the nude female form. never quite understand the phenomenon, but it happens. this is why i establish boundaries first/ask what they prefer.

It's refreshing to know there are some guys here that think before they post. I'm far from being a prude, and I have nothing against porn. I believe there is a place for it, I just don't want to look at it every time I go to my profile.
I notice no guys have addressed the question of what they would think or how they would feel of a woman posted a male nude pic on their wall. Come on guys, I'd love to hear what you think.
It is always best to find out and then follow the posting desires of the one you are going to post to. It isn't that hard to do... JUST ASK if it is not already written in their profile. Personally I think it is a good idea to let each new friend know up front when accepting them though, it saves a lot of issues; unless they simply don't follow your wishes. And if they don't follow your wishes.... gone. They have shown that their own desires are what is important and they don't care about yours.
As for if a female posted a male picture on my wall:
That would depend. If it was a COUPLE, that is fine, but only from ONE person. If it is a male in general, unless it was a FUNNY picture, it is not welcome and I would take it as an insult (unless it was in response to an inside joke or something). I just don't see the need for it. And like others pointed out, the reasons why a female nude (or just female in general) might be posted tend to be a wider range of things.
Again though, I think it is best to make sure about posting guidelines before posting on ANYONE's wall.

A lot of what you guys posted are nice sentiments. Sure, we all appreciate the female form and enjoy sharing it with others. That explains the sensual/artsy stuff. I can appreciate when someone has a feel for what I like and they post in kind...I return the favor. My wall is filled with penguins and inside jokes...things posted by people that get me and my sense of humor and my enjoyment of silliness in general.
But at the end of the day, if a guy posts lesbian porn on a girl's wall despite her sexual preferences, or any porn for that matter, it's most likely him saying: "This makes me horny. Look at it because it makes me horny. I want to gauge the way you feel about the things that make me horny." He's doing it for a reaction, mostly. Either you'll respond in kind and you guys will develop a back and forth of crude porn wall postings, or you'll ignore him and the porn and he'll eventually get the hint.
As I said before, it's different if you've gotten to know a person or understand some aspects of their personality and their preferences and post accordingly. But posting random porn for a reaction is kind of taking a shot in the dark. Some people go for it, others don't. In the grand scheme of things, deleting offending posts is sufficient. If the posts are too excessive, you can either talk to the offender(s) and ask them to stop, or you can delete them. I get that it's common courtesy to ask first before posting porn on someone's wall because not everyone feels the same way about it...but some people don't know better.

For those ladies who are not interested, I would post something more subdued - though most of my pic-posts are subdued on all my friend's profiles so far
Doesn't bother me tbh. Most of my male friends are straight and I always assumed they had a lack of male pics due to that which is why I receive mainly sensual female pics, either naked, partially naked or wearing sexy lingerie. I am straight but I like them and can appreciate the female form. That being said they have also posted me sensual male pics which I also enjoy but I do tend to only post sensual female pics back to straight men, unless it involves a couple.
I have straight female friends and we each in turn post sensual female pics to each other, however the majority of my female friends are bi/lesbian so again its all boils down to what they have, I don't expect a lesbian friend of mine to post a man pic on my wall and nor would I post one to them.
At the end of the day I personally make it clear what I do and don't like on my wall when I make new friends, for example my distaste is cum shots that's not to say they haven't been posted on my wall but normally because the person is unaware. I always tell my friends that should they post something I do not like then take no offence if I delete it and to likewise do the same should they dislike my posts to them. I do however always send a polite message to them should I delete a post explaining why as every time so far it has been inadvertent.
It works for me Ive deleted very few pics probably around 5 so far and I have been here 7 months. Well ok there was an incident few weeks ago when 2 friends thought it would be funny to pound my wall with huge spiders when they didn't realise how scared of them I was but they deleted them themselves after they realised it did so those don't count as far as I am concerned.
When I post on someone's wall I tend to make sure that it's something that is relevant to what they want. I'm not going to go oh year this random photo will be fine for everyone's wall. I tend to treat it as I wouldn't want shit on my wall so why should I put it on someone else's.
I wondered that myself. It mystifies me really. The only time I post women on women's pages is if I know she likes them, or if I see something in the image that she would like. Or sometimes I'm just a butt and post the first thing my mouse lands upon because I'm weird like that.
I always send my female friends pictures of men. Or I will send mystical things, flowers and other things to my female friends walls.
Like you, I have a few friends that send naked pictures of themselves or of just women. I don't really get that. I am straight as an arrow and am happily married.

I often will just delete the stuff I don't like. Some people leave some really wild and crazy stuff.
I confess I don't understand that one; maybe its the sensual and sexy image of women that we've all been trained to view as "erotica". I personally like nice pictures of both sexes.
