My opinion on this depends on my partners preference. If I prefer them to be fully shaved and they would like me to be trimmed then I would trim because it's for them, not for me. I don't remember reading that in the Rule of Reality lawbook we get when we are born. I mean... I haven't dusted mine off in a while...

Of course, women don't have to shave for anybody other than themselves. That being said, my personal pref is for a woman to be closely trimmed / shaped, or smooth and bare. I had a hell of a time convincing my ex-wife to just do the slightest of trimming for me - sure, she would do the standard bikini trim in the summer of course to keep up appearances (social and otherwise) but outside of that...yeesh! I was seriously worried for quite a while that if her pussy didn't get some air it would suffocate and die !

I, on the other hand, started trimming myself in the early 90's because it felt better and seemed to enhance hygiene (among other reasons). Not too long after that, I started shaving and got to the point where now I'm mostly shaved pretty much all the time. Once my ex asked me why I did this. I replied - quite honestly - "So that when and if you ever get the urge to go down on me, it will be as pleasant an experience for you as possible". She responded with "That's a mean thing to say!".... That one has stuck with me for a long time Backstory: for the latter 2/3 of our 22 year marriage, I only rec'd blowjobs after much insistence, which I didn't like to do (pressure like that gets unpleasant over time) and on birthdays and maybe anniversaries. I think definitions are lost in this thread:

Shave: with a razor or other hair cutting tool. This can be partial (landing strip, other partial styles) and bare (all)
Wax: with wax or gel made to pull the hair out by the roots. Also can be partial or bare.
Trim: usually using scissors or other styling tool to shorten the hair. Can be done to an untouched (full bush) or partially shaved area.

People seem to interchange these definitions thus leadin to confusion and false assumptions.

Me: I'm partially shaved (no wax) and trimmed. For myself! I don't do it for my husband. I like the look if it. I prefer the low maintenance during my time of the month. Nothing's more disgusting than being on your period and having a full bush of bloody, dried hair to deal with.

My husband likes it. That's just a benefit and not my reason for it.

He's untouched which I like and prefer.
