Where do you come up with your story ideas? The question would be more accurate where DON'T I? I get story ideas from everywhere! From my dreams, from day to day life, from reading other stories... I seem to always be "on" and I am bombarded with story ideas! I also get suggestions from my readers on what they would like to see, and from those whom I have teamed up with in collabs. If I could clone myself into four more people, I MIGHT be able to keep up with the flood of ideas. But then we'd have to clone all the Mods to approve them too! LOL!

Nicola frowns on cloning mods after i showed up one day as triplets.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

A little here and a little there. Some are real life experiences that I run with. Some are fantasies, other ideas I get through a roleplaying site I frequent regularly.

Artwork is The Sirens by Henrietta Rae, 1903.

I suppose I start with a sex scene or fantasy. Onto that I graft some characters to give it substance. I find that once I have created the characters then I am able to develop them and that is when new scenarios are created. My characters are entirely fictional although some are loosely based on people i know (Or would like to know better). Generous feedback from Lush readers has also steered me into developing some situations.

Hello Johanna and WELCOME to our site. After reading your profile, I don't think you need to be asking where people get their ideas from. It sounds to me as if you have a fantastic mind for dreaming up ideas of your own. That sounds like it will turn out to be a thrilling tale of that young lady's life, one that could quite easily turn into a multi-chapter story. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for those two sisters. I wish you the best of luck, and again, welcome to our little family.
If you're feeling bored during this Covid-19 epidemic I’d like to suggest
you take a peek at a story I collaborated with SueBrasil, a brilliant author.
It's about a mistake in judgment a lady makes concerning a friend, based
on the hurtful words of someone that only thinks of himself. Will that
conniving person succeed in ruining a beautiful friendship, or will she see
through his lies? It's gradually creeping up towards the 30,000 mark
and we’d love any votes or hearing whatever comments you may wish
to make. It is listed in my profile under ‘FAVOURITES’ as Apologize.

Depends I think.

Sometimes it's a lust for a certain sexual scenario to be played out, with some universally acknowledged context.

Other times, there can be an imagination of certain narrative elements that draw me to write. These plot details can be intriguing by themselves, and/or add to the atmosphere of the sexual interactions in the story.

I must add that sometimes we take it for granted that interesting narrative is necessarily superior to genre sex stories, or 'mindless sex'. I think this is unnecessary. As we have seen in multiple art forms including literature and cinema, richness of plot is welcome, but it is by no means the sole marker of artistic excellence or entertainment.

One or two from personal experiences. Some from experiences of other acquaintances I have been involved with and aware of. Most from a vivid imagination. The recounting if an experience I have heard some of my men tell me of and I have concocted a story from their experience.

An overactive imagination! A few are stories or locations that are a little risqué in real life but can be the source of fantasy in the world of Lush. Sometimes stories just flow, over times I’ll have little bits jotted down and the stories then form around them over time. Have lots of partial stories sat in draft though

Usually starts with a scene in my mind. I had an idea of a succubus naked and chained up and snarling at the silhouette of her captor who stood nonreactive before her. That became the third book in a series I wrote for the zon.

"The Punished Nonpartisan" <- Extreme BDSM and humiliation story. Heavy on plot. Served on a plate of political drama with a side of domestic terror. Currently Free download.

Jocelyn the Wicked <- futanari, fantasy fan fic, and some tentacles that escaped the laboratory

So I'm only writing one story which is incredibly long, but the inspiration came from a character I had designed for some media studies work I did when I was 14 years old. We had to come up with a film idea about friendship, and there was someone who came across as a bad guy when actually he was just misunderstood and actually was the kind of hero in the story. That character became the main character in my book which I started when I was 16 (age of consent is 16 in the UK.) I stopped writing it because I wasn't very confident in my writing, but I picked it up again in November (at 32 years old.) Everything is completely made up, sometimes based on maybe a dream I've had which has stayed with me so I'll take a part of that and there are moments where the characters mood has mirrored mine. I am interested in BDSM though, so that features heavily in my story.

I rarely use autobiographical events because, frankly, much of my real life hasn't been that exciting. Often I will use a small fantasy that becomes the premise for a longer plot. Often, it's a "what if" question.

What would it be like to be set-up on a date with a girl is turns out to be really kinky? What would it be like to be a cab driver who picks up a cock-teasing passenger? (I drove a cab once but that never happened.) What would happen if a college classmate was also a part-time hooker and she offered a deal? What would it be like to be seduced during a job interview by a female manager? (He should have known when the second appointment is on a Sunday evening.)

How to develop the characters is another story, but they are rarely directly based on real people.

The settings, the locations: now those are usually based on real geography and real buildings.

(I guess you can't quote posts without the quoted post showing up on one's profile looking like you wrote it)
I get my ideas from writing roleplay stories. There has been one that has been a series of scenes and I'm putting them all together and filling in the gaps to make one epic story. I'm just now working on getting the rough draft edited so I can publish it on this site.

I get them from an imagination that won't quit and occasionally photos. Sometimes an idea can spark while having a mundane convo with someone. I hear something on the radio. Hell, even movies and TV can spark ideas.

Inspiration is literally everywhere, fam.

I have ten dice. Each face of each die has a word on it. I drink a pint of Old Peculiar, drop them in the empty glass, give it a shake, and toss them out on my desk. That's my first sentence and I go from there. Works every time, which should be readily apparent given my status as reigning (until Kimmi posts) Micro Mistress.

For me, sometimes I start with the title. My first story, 'It was just an accident' started with the title. I've done that four or five times. My 'The Cuckolder Inc' Started by looking for a different cuckold hook. some come from stories I've read that trigger something. my sexual experience is very vanilla so that doesn't help me much. Everything I've written or submitted here is imagination

The majority of my stories just derive from my over active imagination. A few are woven around a story that is at least somewhat factual. I'm able to close my eyes and see what's in my imagination being acted out, which helps. D x

My interest in writing comes from trying to write full, character-driven novels. Stories and characters tend to all live in my head. With the help of an over-imaginative mind, I develop them there. Then write short bios on the main characters and use an Excel spreadsheet to develop the idea (a story arc, if you like). Then it's the first draft, knowing the story and so on. I normally write book ends (rough draught) when I am about 25% into writing the book.

My main issues are not story ideas but my writing skills and understanding of the written English language!

Those are and will remain, a work in progress.

My Dirty Talk comp entry: Knickerless

A gay standalone story: The Queens Head

A standalone story: A Good Life

A standalone office sex story: Back in the Office

I was asked this in a comment yesterday - just how?

Well, a state of mind, a naughty thought, a shared conversation with my husband - or experience.

Sometimes it is something he started to write, and I finished. Sometimes, something I have tried to write, and my husband straightens it out to get me going again. He has to help with so much, adjectives (my vocabulary is terrible, really), idioms, and English slang - and this all adds to more ideas. The English language is so flexible, which can also inspire.

Perhaps the biggest one - pictures. I love erotica, I think more than porn. I have written three stories here just from a picture I found.

This is my collection of muses and stories. Stories of note include:

Little Bird - A true story of submission and dominance set in Paris between an older couple and their younger lover.

Le Weekend - Six lives intertwined during one weekend create events that change their lives forever.

Wouldn't you rather have a nice cup of tea?

Usually its from an everyday interaction, and my mind just runs away with the images and story that unfold.... it can be hard to then get it on paper (so to speak)
