So nice you say I glow at your words
Eyes wide, heart so swollen, I give you all
You take, you consume
I smile and give more
So nice you say
My soul soars
I give pleasure, I give support, I give me
Giving all to fill you
Giving all to grasp at love
So special you say
Then toss me away
So nice, but not loved
You chuckle, a smile and a hug to placate me
You really are so nice
Nice brings a fleeting mirage, but never a love
Nice can never bring best
Nice fails against the rest
Nice brings no love, just flowing blood and a shattered heart
Can a soul survive nice
Can hope bring forth the Phoenix
Can pain, can anguish temper nice
Can fire forge nice into best
Can the tears of nice break its curse
Can I rise thru the ashes like the Phoenix
Big Thanks to Anna for helping craft free-flowing airport scribbles into something resembling a poem,
