They start their trek
Within the forest so thick
Moving onward in their quest
Their pace not too quick.

Traversing ahead and down
The journey of five slows
Pausing briefly the rest
Near an opening below.

Continuing on their trip
Descend to small valley
First destination in sight
No time do they dally.

They climb the first peak
They must carry on
To plant their flag
Upon the twin Tetons.

The ascent is slow
They take their time
The Journey of Five
Making their climb.

When they reach the peak
To celebrate on crown
The wind stirs from above
Echoes of moaning sound.

The five linger short while
Then begin their descent
Slowly onto flatted plain
The quest they are sent.

Traversing the expanse
They find smaller valley
The Journey of Five
Do measure and tally.

Pressing onward south
The destination at last
The Journey of Five
Into tender the crevice.

With destination in sight
Lingering they inspect
A standing stalagmite

There they do espy
Mighty opening below
Wide is the entrance
A stream doth flow.

Two members press forth
Three remain to save
As they descend into
The cavernous cave.

Roaming in the tunnel
They can do no more
Withdrawing above for
Sixth team mate to explore.
