Every morning I wake up
Lonely and longing for something
Or someone to hold in my arms
To spend a day with you.

I make a Christmas wish
For that someone special
To be there with me
To make my wishes come true.

Even though I don’t ask for much
From the deepest of my heart
As I don’t care about the hundred presents
Underneath my Christmas tree.

All I ask for this coming year
The only present I ever need
Is for an English rose
To take a chance on me.

To be able to wake up 
On this Christmas morning
To open my presents
And find a very special one.

As I unwrap my presents
And find a beauty so bright
With a radiance
That brightens up my heart.

To gaze in to such beauty 
Would be such an euphoric bliss
To be able to wake up everyday
With you would be a dream come true.

For only one can dream
And maybe that one day 
In the near but not distant future
They will eventually come true.

And hopefully that day will be soon
To be able to look deep 
Into your beautiful eyes
That twinkle like a million fairy lights.

That is one thing I could forever
Get lost in and without any care
In knowing that we are in love
And it was at first sight.

And all that I want this Christmas
To be able to spend it with you
The love of my life
If only my wish will come true.

All that I want for Christmas 
Is the one that I love.
