Yeah, none of my teams even made the playoffs...I can enjoy the games without the extreme stress. And I agree that the SF-GB game has great expectations. Have fun!
So I lose both my picks yesterday, and I get bumped from #2 back to #1. Gee, I wish real life was like that! LOL
So the question is not just who is the better team, but who is the best crazy freezing weather team?
The point spread has an effect on the DAL-OAK & BAL-PIT games. Detroit was a winner no matter which way it is scored. The majority of us picked Oak +9, and I did so because of the points. With my picks I wind up 2/1 no matter which way it is scored. But for some it makes a a big difference. I think it shoud be scored with the spread in effect as the final wasn't posted at gametime, but it was fairly steady Mon, Tues, & Wed. In my opinion the winners should be Det, OAK & Pit. And if not that, then none of the games should count.
Uh-Oh...I think fucked up again! All of today's games, Thursday 11/28, are showing 'Off' for the point spread.
Jax was bought by a new owner last year and I think he wants to move the team to a bigger market. The low attendance and lack of interest within their market area will give him support with the NFL to approve the move . I say 'Yay" because they claimed Orlando as their area and bump the Dolphin games on TV.
Being Top Dog for the week and for the season are both 'firsts' for me. It may be short-lived, but I will take what I can get...lol
New England has a long history of bad calls when playing at home. Being a long time Dolphin fan I have seen it year after year. My personal rule is 'Never bet against New England in New England'
It seems that 8 missed the deadline for Thursday night's game. 3 of those may have dropped out as they had no entries last week.
Coco, What time did you enter your picks and did you remember to click save? As of this posting you still don't have anything entered for the week.
I am curious as to what happened. Did 5 actually miss the deadline, or was there another issue?
As I stated previously, I have found that fully completing my list early, like on Wenesday, and saving it, helps to prevent problems. I can still go back and edit my picks after the final spread is posted. However, the closer it gets to game time, the more risk you have of the site being slow or overloaded and your picks or changes made not get accepted on time. Losing a pick may get anyone PO'd, but I wouldn't get too discouraged as there are still 223 games left and plenty of time to recover.
Personal Assistant: ".... I'd like a win this week! " Well, gee...so would I. Somehow I don't think our competitors will 'dumb it down' for us. LOL
I agree with the players who picked the Jets. It was a gutsy pick and, in my opinion, they should get something. In NFL tradition, like when they had the replacement Refs, Players or a shortened season, we could put an Astorisk next to their names....noting that they really have another point! It will only matter if it is really close at the end of the season.
I am a DOLPHIN fan also....and a Tampa Bay Buccaneer fan on the NFC side. I think the group so far is good...no quitters. But we could use a few more also. Good luck everyone!
Ah, yes...I had many woeful weeks and have never come close to challenging the leaders, but it is fun.
What rules are we going with this year?
And I really think we should include the playoffs...that was an abrupt ending last year.
Philly Cheese Steak Pizza with real steak and Grilled peppers, onions and mushrooms on thin crust
No wagers from me. With an average of 69 points per game, that was definitely one of the best playoff weekends I can remember.
