I am not sure what the actual question is in regards to. I will take a leap here and assume it is in reference to conveying meaning, feeling, emotions. items that are not readily communicated through words. And, when words are used to convey those types of non-tangibles to others, it is very difficult as I suspect success is heavily dependent the "receivers" personal experiences.
Words are just that, words. Grammar helps express those words t convey meaning.
Grammar is just a technical construct for the language (English, Italian, Thai, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, etc., and no to mention dialects).
I believe that when you cannot express what you want in the language you are using through that particular grammar, it becomes a hindrance. However it is a useful hindrance. That's when you become creative and take that next step, the ones that all creative and artistic people do and go outside those boundaries.
And, create something new and unexpected.
What should be irritating to anyone creative is someone who wants to keep you in that box.

I like what you have to say about Grammar.

How easy and useful would it be if there was am option for a half grade? Say you clicked any score under 5, then there'd be an option for a"+" or ".5" to click. I do like the "like" option. Could a score vote be tied to a comment? The score is listed in the comment you leave.

I don't know how difficult it would be to do but it would help and the system could remain the same leaving it alone.
It's largely something I have said a few times over the years. Most people use it as a "like" system by giving a 5 as long they like the story so make it one.

I agree but with some people, a 5 doesn't equal a like, it is better. Nothing will change anyway so this whole thing is a waste of time.
I honestly don't remember any of the old stories that I've read over the last 10 years on Lush and Literotica. None of them are up to the standards of the classics like Grapes of Wrath, To Kill A Mockingbird and Sherlock Holmes. They're fun to read but no lasting impressions.

Personally, I equate 1-5 with F-A school grading. I wish a comment was required with a 1 or 2 (F or D) in my head. I would just like to know why I received the low rating. Going to 10 doesn't seem worth the trouble to this writer.

I agree that the F-A is the same as a 1-5 system. I've commented twice now on giving 4 or B ratings and now have two enemies. Twice because I decided to only give 5 ratings to the very best stories, the ones that were well written. I'm thinking about not voting anymore and just keep my mouth shut, that way I can read and enjoy the stories. With this system and the way people think I would have failed high school and college because I was a B student with very few A's and C's. I can see that my opinion is going nowhere fast and on this site it is all 5's or it's a failure.
I got a response to a story that I gave a 4 rating to and the response was "you win you learn." A 4 rating is good. Does that mean that anything short of 5 is a failure? I really think something needs to be done.

It answers a question about the person who said it.

And a lot of people feel that way about 5*. There are trolls on lit who give you a 1 to bring your rating down
I spoke to someone who said anything less than a 5 was a slap in the face. Does that answer the question about the rating system?
My favorite horror movie, the one that scared me the most was the original ALIEN film

A 'read' doesn't mean you got read. It's just a hit.
I figure one vote per hundred hits and one comment per thousand as a rule of thumb.

I console myself with self-delusion.
I cleave to the thought that readers get off so quickly when reading my stories that they never get all the way to the bottom where the voting buttons are.

I agree with this
From now on I'm only going to give a 5 to the very best stories.
I find myself commenting on about two a day, mostly writers I have read before. I probably read 4 per day. I also skip a lot of stories because the topic doesn't interest me. I do writing but publish on Lit to keep the stories togeher (33 of them)
One person paid extra and said it wasn't worth it and won't renew. What does everyone use?
I found it interesting that no one paid extra for the premium
I also like Sandy2Moon. Good writer who should do a book
So hard to pick one but I was quite taken with Freespirit13 and her story "House of Mirrors" which is a competition entry
yes I do when writing them. Re-reading and editing is boring.
How many have paid extra for the premium version of Grammarly and is it worth it?
very much so but there has to be a connection with the other person.
Lately the subject of breast play has come up from women and how much they enjoy it. It seems like men are more interested in other things. As far as I'm concerned I can't get enough nipple sucking as well as feeling them, licking them, just looking at them big or small they're all nice. I can totally understand that the titty fuck gives no pleasure unless the woman wants to please the man. So do the Lush Women like the breast play? Can you come?
