Too many to list. The works of Twain and most others in the American canon, plus the many modern novelists I've had time to read. Several feminist authors have made me think, including Mary Karr, and I read history and Eastern philosophy. I like crime novels, especially the works of Elmore Leonard. Rest in peace, Elmore.
