Welcome to Lush and to Rumps. Put you next drink on my tab.

There's a thread somewhere in Writer's Resources or Ask the Author on promoting stories and how to get eyeballs and I can't find it to save my soul. Post a link here (or give us the title and category if you haven't hit the magic 20 posts yet) and maybe one of us can give some advice.

In general, to get noticed, get active. Read and comment on others' stories. Post in the forums. Put links to your stories in your sig. Use Self-Promotion and Marketing. Make friends. Follow people (they might follow you back). If you are okay with your presence here being known more widely, post about your writing on social media (I can't but some can and do). Hang out in here and get to know the regulars, many of whom are active and successful Lush writers (and then there's me).

Oh, and be generous in your choice of categories and tags. For instance, Straight Sex, while it seems pretty straightforward, doesn't really attract eyeballs. In general, pick the wildest, kinkiest thing that happens in your story and base the category off that. And tag judiciously. You never know who might be looking for stories tagged "hot butter".

There. I am sure others can add more.

Must go now and think about a micro for the comp.

Tea, Earl Grey, hot, please.

Thanks seeker4, I really appreciate the guidance. I'll look for the thread you mentioned

Hello All - Lush is great in some ways. You get to meet some really helpful, cool people. So I was guided towards this forum so that I could get help writing stories. I have written one which sunk without a trace so I'm after some feedback to improve that. So is this the right place to be? Can anyone give feedback to help a story in terms of content and getting it out there. Thanks
