About

I am a writer and photographer currently based in Las Vegas. I freelance in the areas of travel and the arts, and through this I am able to engage in my passion - erotica. I create fiction, much of which is based (loosely-ish) on my personal experiences and those of my friends and lovers. I also create erotic photography, diptychs and triptychs that are intended as a kind of visual poetry, I suppose.

Interests
Art and photography - creating it and experiencing works by others. All genres and through time. I am fortunate to be able to travel extensively for work, so I try go to as many museums and galleries as I can. I love smaller, less crowded ones the best. Quiet places where you can lose yourself. I also love to lose myself in the crowd of a concert or soccer match. In music and sports, being there in the middle of it is so much better. I write about food and wine, and am passionate about both. And sex, which is obviously the focus of this site, so here goes. I have been in somewhat longterm relationships with both men and women - relationships I still maintain and cherish in several cases, even as they have evolved into friendships - sometimes with 'benefits', sometimes not. But I am one of those people who have to be sexually 'adventurous' to feel alive. It's my drug, that frisson you get in the back of your head when you are about to experience something or someone new. I love it, I try to capture it in my writing and my photography. That feeling of being more fully alive, more fully present - in your own body and in the world - than at any other time. You know what I mean. I hope you do.

Favorite Books
'Delta of Venus' and 'Little Birds' by Anaïs Nin (Henry Miller's pretty good too, but only so much of him I can take), almost anything by Murakami, 'A Tale for the Time Being' by Ruth Ozeki, 'Laughable Loves' and 'The Unbearable Lightness of Being' by Milan Kundera. Geez, there are so many, actually.

Favorite Authors
The ones I named above: Nin, Miller, Murakami, Ozeki, Kundera, plus Nadine Gordimer, Elfriede Jelinek, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Moshin Hamid. Jo Nesbo for crime thrillers. A lot of others I'm not thinking of right now.

Favorite Movies
'Spirited Away', The "L'Auberge Espagnole' trilogy, "In the Realm of the Senses", "Kira's Secret: A Love Story", 'Cat People' (remake, only because of Nastasia Kinski), 'Rear Window', 'Antinia's Line', 'Moon and Cherry', 'Breathless' (not the remake, which was good, but not Godard), 'The Lives of Others', 'Nights of Cabiria', Kieslowski's tri-color trilogy (blue, white, red), 'Love Exposure', almost anything directed by Thomas Vinterberg, 'After the Wedding', 'Manon of the Spring'....'Moana' and 'Deadpool'. I'm kind of a film school snob, but not totally. ?

Favorite TV Shows
I don't watch too much tv.

Favorite Music
I love samba, especially uptempo. Tanya Tagqk is incredible - she experiments with traditional Inuk throat singing and turns it into contemporary pieces that are otherworldly. Classical that is heavy on cello. Taiko drumming. A lot of pop and rock, but I'm not going to start naming people, because that will send me down a rabbit hole. Traditional Guzheng music, when I'm in the right mood, is pretty cool. The title gives you context, and from there it is a crisp, meditative poem without words. This is sort of the effect I hope for in my photography. So basically, my musical tastes are like my erotic life - expansive and so mixed up I can't make sense of it. Except maybe in this way: both (like food and art - which I also write about as part of my job) are windows into the human experience - expressions that are deeply layered and textured through time and place, yet universal. All are ways to connect to humanity on the most foundational of levels. And I love that about all of these things.

A first date becomes deeply erotic (and life-changing) for two struggling young women

The noise is a kind of sensual assault that leaves me feeling buzzed and giddy. The large space is jammed with people, hundreds at least, possibly more than a thousand. Most of them are young guys with pretty faces and inflated muscles. And leather everyw...
