Discoveredast night that our local ice cream joint has Italian ice last night and got the lemon! YUM! I’ve pretty much sworn off ice cream since January because it messes with my allergies and digestive system. Good morning. It's turned moist here but at least someone turned the temperature down.

Looks like the big project I was going to manage at work just got bigger. And I am now down with that. Might actually be an improvement over what we planned on a number of fronts. So looks retirement will be end of 2026 at the earliest but given our fiscal year, Summer of 2027 might make more sense. Depends on when we bring this online.

That part about work brings back memories. I hope you get to retire in 26. I'll be honest, retirement was the best thing that ever happened to me.

I was the night manager of a larger aerospace fastener company and I loved it for a long time. Then we got bought by Stanley Black and Decker and they just made it hell.

I woke up this morning to discover one of the circuits in my kitchen is dead. The GFI keeps popping and wont stay powered. Its it’s annoying cause my dishwasher wouldn’t run and it was full of dishes, so I had to pull everything out and wash them by hand.

At least my refrigerator and my electric stove and oven work otherwise I’d be running electric cords all over the place just to power the fridge

Another fortunate point is that I have a home warranty to cover things like this. So I made a call to the warranty company and they’re gonna have an electrician contact me I won’t have to pay anything more than $75 so no matter what it is they’ll be covered but it’s gonna be several days before I have a dishwasher again

I guess I’m going out to the store to buy paper plates and plastic utensils for a while

I’ll still have to wash pots and pans, but I always wash those by hand anyway

I’m about to post part one of Manhandled, a romantic reluctant story I’ve written part two is about halfway done. I’ll finish that today and then back to watching Sarah.

I want a coffee with a shot of bourbon. I’m gonna need it today.

I never thought as myself being bi or straight. More just indiscriminate.

The only way this is gonna go away is if the Democrats wanted to go away too. But then that’s another issue altogether.

I believe Trump is organizing this himself if you can even use the word organize. Trump isn’t wanting to take advice from anybody and he’s always gotten away with everything so there was no reason for him to think this would be otherwise.

I think he’s in shock. And I think those around him in power realize he’s on the list and that he’s not gonna survive this.

So now they’re starting to jump ship like the other rats throughout history. The last use he had for them was his ability of motivate people for the upcoming midterms, and now his endorsement isn’t gonna be worth much of anything.

The irony of all of this is the deep state he’s always complained about, may end up being the instrument of his own destruction

And now, Mike Johnson has broken with Trumps claim that the Epstein Files are a Hoax. He’s said that those on the file are evil.

That is quite a departure from Trumps attempt to defuse the accusations. It will be interesting to see how Trump reacts to that. And however he does, it will be telling us if this is a break or a strategy

I don’t expect them vote to Democrat by any means. But elections without Donald Trump and them have shown that they don’t tend to show up at the polls in massive numbers. I think that result is very likely.

The most recent polling shows Trumps approval down to 37% among voters. It was unexpected that independents and Democrats would oppose a child abuser of that magnitude, but all of us wondered how MAGA and the rest of the GOP would react.

The numbers on that side are interesting. 40% of the GOP, obviously the hard-core Maga still support Donald Trump, despite his obvious complicity with Jeffrey Epstein.

Surprisingly 36% of Republicans now disapprove of him with the rest undecided. The Republicans are obviously headed for disaster in November 2026, but we may be seeing something more significant. We might be seeing an actual splintering of Maga from the Republican Party. I don’t expect the 60% of the people doubting Trump now to suddenly become good people, but at least it’s good to know they’re not completely inhumane and immoral. They might be fine with bankrupting the poor and enriching the wealthy, but at least some of them actually do care about the children so it would seem.
