To be honest, I don't take my stories very seriously. Most of them are a 'polished' first draft. I write first for my own amusement, exploring my own fantasies - a kind of mental masturbation, but with my hands on my keyboard, rather than... well, you get the idea. I have no illusions about crafting a literary masterpiece, and with the exception of a few very talented writers on this site, I don't think any of us should. But if I entertain myself and a few other readers with what I post, then I'm happy enough. If people get off on what I've written, more power to them. Winning awards and accolades (and badges!) doesn't really motivate me.

As for the realism of my stories, they've been praised from time to time for that. I do spend time developing characters and situations before letting them go at each other, and I can write some passably believable dialog. However, I still consider them pretty much porn (maybe like relatively well-written old-school porn that had some semblance of a plot). A good story should start with a somewhat ordinary/realistic scenario, and then take it to the extraordinary. As Milik said:

I think its more the idea than the actual tan line. For instance, if a person has a tan line, he/she is covering that part of her body while sunbathing, swimming or what ever he/she was doing to get the sun.
