I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. He was the longest serving Prince Consort in history and a great support to The Queen. Also he was a man of wide and varying interests from naval history to polo, cricket, wildlife, conservation, environmental issues, engineering and theology - to name just a handful. He will be greatly remembered for his sometimes offbeam humour which was really designed to break the ice, but sometimes got misunderstood.
