Hey! that's my signature, make everyone smile, go to, and it's... why... you... i... *growls* fine, then, YOU are not getting giggles anymore, Misters! *giggles* DAMMIT! YOU TRICKED ME! *leaves in a huff*

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

One of mine is the statement "you know" it drives me insane! Another is "like".

I have heard people use both of them 10 times in a single freaking sentence. Grow up people and learn some effing vocabulary!

I hate with a passion when someone keeps saying "like." I was sitting in one of my classes and the girl kept repeating it, for the 5 mins she was talking, she said it about 20 times. I said to her are you kidding me, that sounded terrible.

Saying obviously at the end of a patently obvious statement.

I hate it when people are in a conversation and say OMG. Not "Oh my God!" , but O.M.G.

I don't understand the constant repetition of pithy sayings that are posted on all the forums. I also hate all the computer abbreviations of sayings like oh my god being reduced or laugh out load etc. It's getting like George Orwell predicted in 1984 - the reduction of the language. If something's worth saying then say it if it's not and too cliche then don't reduce it or say it just STFU.

"It is what it is"...something about it just bugs me...what is is it exactly?

Totally agree.... It's an easy out for people who don't want to step up to a challenge, or open their minds to problem solve.... My thoughts on people that use this is that "it is what it is" because you have decided to settle on letting it be "what it is" because that's easier then changing it to what it could be if you'd just open your mind and explore options... Let's stop just settling for what "it is" and step up and come together to help make it what is should or could be. I hear this all the time at work... and cant stand it, it's an easy out in my world...and just for the record.. those that settle for accepting things to be "what they are" lose their right to bitch about things being as they are because they make no effort to try change them.

oh wow... feeling much better now that that's off my chest! smile

Two I find annoying in the cheap public story magazines.

Let me explain
It was (date) and ....

These sayings and statements are so over used. Every week I would find "Let me explain" when I have already figured out the plot of the story just by looking at the pictures.

whatever. "It's the way this word is used, but whatever.."

Redundancy. It's simple redundancy to me.

'Just saying' Don't it's annoying and rather childish.
'At the end of the day' It's night, that's what's at the end of everyday.
'Basically....' Yes, you are basic now stop talking argh!

MY response to that is, well DUH. It is. That's a statement of fact. Anything else, other than a descriptive, ie, It is a blue vase, is meaningless. Pretty sure it would piss George Carlin off.

"You know". Listen to some random person get interviewed on tv. Or and athlete after a game. "You know, i think we played a great game. We deserved to win, you know. My teammates did a great job, you know, of supporting me in this game, you know." Drives me fucking crazy.

"Legend" as in "x is an absolute legend"

Anyone who uses the term "Legend" while not referring to Jason and the Argonauts is a bell-end

Ha, very funny!

I hate sayings like 'Let's throw it against the wall and see what sticks'

Puts me in mind of the very funny show from a while back, Drop the Dead Donkey, set in a newsroom. (check it out, it was VERY funny)
The editor, Gus Hedges, was the most odious man who came out with the most ridiculous phrases.

Here are a few examples:

Could we interlock brain spaces in my work area?

Coach, if I could input into your mental mainframe for a moment...

Let's operate a zipped-lip scenario on this one.

George, can we pool our brainspaces in a center of excellence?

Aaah, I must go and re-watch that show...

It kind of annoys me when a person just goes "ok" or "k" when in a conversation, via text, im or in person. xD
