Our friends in Tuvalu are getting ready to light the blue touch paper already, while I'm about to get the ice scraper out so I can see out my car's windscreen, on this chilly English morning.

Wherever you are, I wish you a fizzy, fun and fantastic 2015.

happy new year to you to . i dont drink alot but christmas got well drunk and new years eve probably the same . when you dont drink often it doe,snt cost much when you decide to celibrate

I have to put in a little objection to Twain's statement. New Year is a wonderful excuse to accidentially turn your head while giving friendly hugs to people who'd otherwise skin you alive for kissing them, and to get 'accidentally' kissed just the same.
