Mariah Carey - All I want
Garbriella Cilmi - Warm this winter ( love this so much, heard this one on an advert on telly)
Mariah Carey - All I want for Xmas

but my all time favourite is

bringing back an old thread ... many of us Lushies are big music lovers!

here's one of mine ... (so not to bore you)

Happy Xmas (War Is Over) - John Lennon (1971)

One of Beatle John Lennon's dreams in the music industry was to create a classic Christmas song. Undoubtedly, he was successful with the song "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" that is simultaneously a holiday song and plea for world peace.

Mind you, the Christmas with Boney M album is a bit of a cracker too! smile
(Shit, did I say that out loud?)

Why not read some stories instead

The top of this list will be, and have been since 2004, Karin Park with the song Once in december.
It was made for a competition in a radio morning show. There was no doubt what song would win, it was a hit.
If you want to check it out, and I suggest that you do, go to this site http://sverigesradio.se/sida/artikel.aspx?programid=2024&artikel=521787 and pick the one at the bottom.

My second choice would be Squirrel Nut Zippers - Santa Claus is Somking Refeer.

I'll throw in a Swedish one too Carola - Himlen i min famn

I almost forgot, I need to throw in another one that's a new favourite of mine ( I know now I broke the rule of 3.)
But it goes hand in hand with a topic in the think tank at the moment.

I have all of mine on my Christmas playlist here at Lush. I like to change it for the holiday.
O Holy Night - When it's done well, it gives me the chills
Little Drummer Boy
Santa Baby - Eartha Kitt
Blue Christmas--- Elvis
Is That you.. Santa Claus?--- Buster Poindexter
Rudolf the red-nosed reindeer---???
Silent night because of the stories I've heard and read about from World War 1 and World War 2. When the troops stop fighting to sing a Christmas Carol that is just badass.

Mele Kalikimaka(Come on people everytime you hear that song you think of Christmas Vacation)

Unto you this night
Where are you Christmas - Faith Hill (love it and it always makes me teary eyed)
Baby, it's cold outside - Jovi and Buddy from Elf or by Lady Antebellum
All I want for Christmas - Mariah Carey
12 Days of Christmas - Muppets version (Ba-dum-dum-dum)

The Christmas Can-Can - Straight No Chaser

Santa Claus is Coming To Town - Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band
Stop the cavalry.. Jona Lewie
Oh holy night.. Christina Aguilera
Fairytale of New York..Pogues
Grandma got rear ended by a reindeer
I'm dreaming of a white mistress
jingle balls

Irishmik60
Mike Corkran
O Holy Night by Martina McBride
Nuttin' For Christmas by Sugarland
Jingle Bell Rock by Bobby Helms

Sorry but I have to break the rule of three also. Others worth mentioning are Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee and Christmas Canon Rock by Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

You have two of my faves here Alpha - Stop the Cavalry and Fairytale of New York, and I equally love Walking in the Air, Aled Jones (theme to the film, The Snowman)
(not to mention Wizard and Slade !!! )
Numbers 1,2, and 3 for me... "O Holy Night"

I remember hearing it in church when I was a kid. Maybe 10 years old or so. Was sang by a soprano with a gorgeous voice. It was the first time I ever heard music that made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Gave me goose bumps. I was totally in awe. It was that night that I knew I wanted to play music in some form or fashion. It was a life altering experience. And yes, she knows she is the reason for my love of music.
