If I only have Mountain Dew, then that's what I'd call it and how I'd offer it to people. If I have several different options, then I'd say, grab yourself a fizzy drink out of the fridge.

in the south (especially Atlanta) every soft drink is a cocola, yes that is how it's pronounced. If you go into an authentic local southern restaurant and order a coke they will ask you what kind.
