As crude as this robot is, it is the evolution of the plastic blow up doll. Putting aside the creep factor and looking at this objectively, an artificial sex partner is not as far fetched as it seems. There is a market for it. How big that market will become as the artificial sex partners evolve is anyones guess.

This concept has been explored in science fiction. An example would be the novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" by Philip K. Dick. That particular book was made into the movie "Blade Runner" In that movie Daryl Hanna plays Pris, a replicant pleasure unit. I guarantee that in the future if there are replicant pleasure units like Daryl Hanna, a lot of tunes will be changed.

My preference is for female Homo sapiens. If my choice was between the robot and another guy then see you in San Francisco.
