Pierce Brosnan, then Sean Connery, closely followed by Daniel Craig.
If I am just basing things on who I think played Bond the best its Sean Connery if asked other stuff... then that would be one lengthy conversation...but my answer is always no matter what going to never be Daniel Craig.
Connery and Brosnan, ex aequo
A little kindness can be so valuable, yet costs almost nothing
In many countries being gay is a crime, and even in modern societies, politicians try to legalise discrimination. Your voice can make a difference. Have a look at All Out to find out how.
Hey... pssst.... that's an l (as in luscious) at the end of my name, not an i I noticed on my iPad all the images were missing. Was this a violation of copyright or something? In any case, I equally like Connery and Craig.
I've read all the James Bond books by Fleming. As far as I can tell the only movie that stuck closely to the book script and dialogue was From Russia With Love.
Sean Connery had the right mix of charm, looks, intelligence, humor and tough guy attitude.
I think Daniel Craig is brilliant. I really hopes he signs on for more!
Although I haven't seen any newer Bond movies, Sean Connery has always been my favorite.
Okay, I guess I'm the iconoclast here. I chose Timothy Dalton. He played the character just the way I was looking for and brought some edge back after the rather soft, overly comic Moore era.
I used to put Connery on top and probably still would on some days. He's very much his own Bond, not Fleming's, but at least in the early movies, was believable in the role. He should have stopped after You Only Live Twice though. Diamonds was horrible, even him.
Lazenby had a great movie but was a so-so Bond.
Brosnan wasn't the Bond I thought he'd be but maybe I need to give him another whirl.
Moore ... I tried rewatching The Spy Who Loved Me (nominally my favorite Moore) a while back and gave up. He's even worse than I remembered.
My wild card is that I haven't watched the Craig movies yet and from what I've read, he could end up on top of my list if I ever get around to watching them.
Daniel Craig. I enjoyed his acting in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. So was thrilled when he took on the role as Bond. James Bond.
A recent poll of all James Bond's revealed Sean Connery a clear winner with 48% - and I agree entirely
The original Sean Connery, followed by Roger Moore. We still like the newest movies and go see them.

Connery, (the ultimate, Bond) Moore, (tongue in cheek Bond) Dalton (brooding Bond), Craig,(tough Bond) Lazenby,(wooden Bond in a terrific flick) Brosnan (boring Bond)
Goldeneye and The World is Not Enough remain as my two favorites in the franchise so it's an easy decision for me.
I can’t think of a good tagline so this will have to do. Suggest a better one for me?
All time favorite is Sean Connery... Goldfinger is my favorite 007 and Pussy Galore favorite Bond girl.
I am a James bond geek, having seen every one except for Moonraker.
In order:
Connery
Craig
Brosnan
Moore
Dalton
Lazenby

Sean Connery. All the way. I am a Connery girl.
Sean Connery was always my favorite
The original is still the best - Connery! As for second, I like the way Daniel Craig plays the part, but the movies travel at such a frenetic clip, that I find myself losing interest. (Maybe it's my age) Moore and Brosnan were too glib. George Lazenby never had a chance, the script was horrid. As for my favorite movies, From Russia With Love will always be number one. Great plot, good script, and not too many gadgets. Second, Goldfinger for the same reasons. After that the gimmicks just weren't believable, at least until Craig came along. As for his replacement, we'll have to wait and see, but Hugh Jackman could be interesting.
Sean Connery, with a bullet.
Sean Connery....he is Bond in so many ways
