I have two small ones and at this minute I can not remember why I thought this would be a good idea.

God did a great job when he created the human body, why must we mess with it.

One of these days I want to have mine removed. But the last time I checked you will still have a scar.
Although they are too permanent for me to get and probably too painful, I do think they can be very sexy. I'll wear temporary ones sometimes.

(even though I'm a masochist.)
I'm thinking of getting my nose pierced though.
a small, tasteful tattoo can be very sexy......a body covered in ink.. not so pretty.
You should first read this Looky Here!!

and then this Free stuff

then say 'Hi'
i'm not tired of seeing them. i DO wish that ppl would think more about location though. i have two in discreet places and like that i can choose who gets to see them.

Say. Her. Name.

God, no. Fuck, no. Absolutely, no. I love tattoos. They are sexy, but so much more: body art that signifies who you are and what you felt at a specific time in your life (even if that specific time is being drunk in Times Square at 4 a.m.).
While I'm not judgmental at all I would never get one. Just not for me.

They just do nothing for me. I always wonder if people have regrets after they get one. I guess they must cause there is a huge boom in laser removal.

I agree with some others I think it's such a shame to see a beautiful person all inked up with bad art.

Just my two cents

To get one or not is such a deeply personal serious decision. They are permanent after all. I respect everyone's right to have them or not. I personally have two, but plan a third. It was not something done on a whim. I waited until I was fifty to get my first one. Both tattoos have very personal meanings to me and to my family. They please me and that is all that counts. I don't shove them in people's faces and force anyone to look at them. I equate them with personal hair style choices and clothing options and piercings as well. We are all free to make these choices for ourselves. I would never judge and belittle or berate someone for a choice that they as an adult are free to make. You can love them or hate them but don't make judgements about someone based on just what you see on their skin.

Very well said.. I have 7 tats and I love them. A couple I got when I was much younger, would love to have redone, But being a diabetic now my DR advises against it.

To me they are disgusting - body graffiti.
I watched a show on TV the other night concerning the "new" industry - REMOVING tatoo's. It seems that it can be done now without scarring but it takes time and money. I hope the industry flourishes.
I love tattoos just not to many. I have a friend named Dark (yes people that is his real name) he has a chain tattoos that starts from his shoulders and swurls aroud his arms all the way to his wrist. Now those two are the only tattoos he gots but damn, like look good on him but not only that it means something to him. In other words, I love tattoos as long has it means something to them and don't have alot covering there whole body. But if you are one of those people that have unmeaningful tattoos then no I don't like them.

I'm tired of overdone and ugly tacky tattoos.

Well illustrated, quality designs in the right place and not too big are fine. Not being careful where you put them could be a career killer, unless you're a rockstar and most people aren't.

Like Buz, I am tired of some of those ugly "what were you thinking?" tats. Like the beautiful young woman with a zodiac sign tatted under her ear on her neck. Really? yikes!

But .... I do love tats on a man.

He starts to unbutton his white dress shirt, and the ink emerges .... he's been hiding them! *yum

His eyes locked on mine as he pulls off his gray tshirt .... and there lays some beautiful ink across his pec and up over his shoulder. *double yum

I waffle on this one. For me personally, I can't imagine getting one. Simple reasons like pain, cost, and I change my tastes too often to get something permanent. On some people, they obviously went to far or they weren't done well etc and I hate them. BUT, then you see some that are well done, placed well, accent something or are meaning and I can appreciate them for the work of art that they are. So I guess it all depends.
I was thinking of either a panda bear, a dolphin, or a four leaf clover on my hip!!!
I think tattoos can be very sexy, especially on women as long as you don't go overboard with ink. I have seen some very beautiful women cover most of their bodies with tats and to me it isn't very attractive. But a few in the right spots is very hot. But to each their own I guess.

I have one that I got when I was very young (and trashed!LOL) and it still looks pretty good. I have thought about getting another one of a heart with my 3 daughters names in it but to be honest I am deathly afraid of needles.
I could never understand what the big deal was with tats. I never got one, because why get something that you cannot easily remove, and which may not look so cool a month, year, or decades from now.

They don' t turn me off if it is small and discreet. They don't turn me on, if you have a small one. Too many on one person look ridiculous.

Nope, I just don't get it.

But if you like them, I have no problem with you having them.
"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than open one's mouth and remove all doubt" - Mark Twain (or Lincoln, or Confucius, or...)
Evidently, they were not good enough for Jesus or Roy Rogers. I call them 'people-weeds'.
I just wash mine off at the end of the night.
A resounding YES!

I don't mind at all a small tat here and there, on a woman I actually think the lower back "tramp stamp' type tat is rather cute, especially the ones they call hennas. That I don't mind and even think can be rather sexy.

BUT -

I live in Lake Havasu, a resort town, and so many beautiful women have had their legs and arms covered in tats. The problem is, a lot of these inkings are cheap - monochromatic. A lot of them look like random scribbling, as if someone took a sharpie to them when they were passed out! Seriously, I think it's reached the point where it's an epidemic of silliness. Some people look like walking comic books, covered from head to toe. The thing I always hear is, "it's about personal expression!" It's like art in reverse. An artist creates on material external to herself and presents it to the world to be appreciated - and that is a form of intellectual, emotional expression. A person covered with tattoos, has someone else's art on their body (for the most part), and yet they call it "personal expression.", which I guess is OK, but it's sort of self-expression by proxy, if you ask me. But that's just me. I'm an old fart and nobody cares what I think!

Bottom line, I think a few tats can be expressive and even attractive; if a body is covered in them, to me that makes that body rather unattractive, and in many cases, ugly and grotesque.

Each to his own. A person's body belongs to them and it's their right to do with it what they please, so these are just my opinions, and you know what they say about opinions!

I couldn't agree more. Tattoos can go either way, beautiful and hot as hell or tacky and trashy. It's all about what you get and where.

Any yuuummmm... I love me some David Beckham!
No. I have one and I like good ones - or my definition of good.

It seems a little like the graffiti debate - to say you don't like graffiti is a very sweeping statement.

It is hard to compare "Jim woz 'ere" or "fuck your mum" with a masterful work of art.
Sure, both final products come from a spray can but the end result is chalk and cheese.
Absolutely not. If they are done tastefully by a skilled artist then I find nothing wrong with them. I have a few of my own. Each on has a specific meaning and I think of them as the art they are, living art.none on the neck or face find those to be a bit much . To his/her own. If done right it can tell a beautiful story of your life and experiences.
i am a little sick of them, i have a few friends that are alternative models and the are completely tatted up. where some are tasteful and some look great, i will never for the life of me know why you would cover your whole body with them. myself i am completely clean, non tatts or piercings.
tired of mine and considering having it removed
First I have no tattoos. It just never seemed the right time. But, I have no particular issues with them - as long as they're tasteful. One thing is that people should consider whether what is cute at 20 will still be nice at 60. Those cherries on boobs might turn into chili peppers with time.
