No, I really don't think I would like that at all. Sometimes you don't want to remember certain days or events.
I wouldn't mind a photographic memory I could control somewhat.
I don't see why you wouldn't want to but maybe I'm missing a very obvious reason why you wouldn't want this ability. Seems like a complete positive to me.
Yes - the pros outweigh the cons...I'd give anything to have a memory longer than a gold fish...
there's always certain medications that have amnestic effects - on the other hand - there's no medication to achieve 20/20 memory...is there?
For me the answer is no. Too many bad memories I'm grateful I no longer remember. I love how my mind protects my heart.
sure...i would love to remember all the people that are no longer with me....yes that would be a wonderful thing
No. I'm very forgetful as it is, but it would be too much to remember everything...I would love to be able to remember jokes or information for trivia because I suck at that.
I already remember allot.... It's not a pleasant thing </3
I'm in agreement with those who say ABSOLUTELY NOT! Just as the ability TO remember is a gift; so to is the ability TO FORGET! One example to prove the point is the PTSD which like many others: OTHER combat veterans, battered spouses and crime victims I too suffer with. PTSD IS the INABILITY to forget incidents that have forever scarred our psyche's. Having PTSD is neither a weakness nor a flaw, it is a NORMAL human reaction to being victimized in a terrifying and terrorizing manner or witnessing more carnage than our own psyche can handle and THEN DUE to the amount of damage done to our psyche being unable to forget it. So, to ANYONE who says that they WOULD like to remember EVERYTHING; all I can say is be VERY careful what you ask for! You just MIGHT get it!
No... Hiding my own Easter eggs is most of the fun on Christmas morning!!!
I think that I would want to. I hate when I forget bits and pieces of details.
But, it reminded me of this quote:
Many a man fails as an original thinker simply because his memory it too good.
~Nietzsche
No there are some things that are better off forgotten
no and there a lot of things I wish I could forget
