"insensitive prick!" – Danielle Algo
When the savanna grass waves it can be the wind, but it can also be a lion. Assuming it's the wind when it's a lion will probably get you killed. Assuming it's a lion when it's only the wind will give you an adrenalin rush and get you tired of running away. Our pattern seeking ability is a great survival tool, even though it tends to give many false positives.
The fun thing with paranormal phenomena like ghosts, spirits, demons and gods even, is that, unlike the savanna lion, there's no evidence they even exist. If there was, they'd be just normal phenomena. So to assume that a pattern that seems to resemble some kind of agency, but that we can't explain, is any of these makes no sense to me.

Well, actually...They can be measured with instruments that sense changes in the local magnetic field. They also suck the energy out of the surrounding air, creating what is known as, " psychic cold". Thermal imaging works as well. My wife & I are what the psychic world refers to as, " sensitives". This " power", if you will, began for me at age 5. That was 55 years ago now. It is my considered opinion that each dimension vibrates at a different frequency. Spirits seem to dwell in the 4th dimension, since we see all sides at once. Again, a higher frequency oscillation causing this effect when our two dimensions come close enough together to cause some sort of inter-dimensional overlap. I think it is also possible for the " spirits" to control this overlap in some fashion. This is when we see them.
Do all dead people become ghosts or is only the select few.
Yes. For more than 14 years I was the recipient of the attention of a ghost. Dozens of witnesses to the levitations, furniture moving, rearranging of my kitchen. I could write a book on all the happenings in my past. it all started when I was in 3rd grade. we have just moved to Mobile AL. My first experience with Pete, that is what I came to my acquaintance, I was doing home work and lost my pencil. I got another one and got an encyclopedia or something like it, volume G. Back at my desk, one I shared with my brother, I noticed the book had something in it. I opened it and there was my pencil, my bite marks the page that was "bookmarked" by the pencil was titled Ghost. I just sat there for a few moments convincing myself that it was coincidence. It didn't long before I stopped trying to convince myself I was making mountains out of mole hills.
In my mind's eye, Horatio.
yes...along with 7 of my friends, back in the summer of '70.
A ghost? Not sure, but I have seen things that I cannot explain.
If you think you can, you will. If you doubt, you may never try.
Seen, no, but I often live with ghosts. Somebody in this house smokes a pipe.
