I hope can be fixed. I think you may start losing members. Old way was more compact les keystrokes and quicker to maneuver around. Needing a Lush for Dummies to learn to maneuver. I lose the top settings going from friends to friends having to go back to forum each time to find them. Do I need personal one on one instruction? Got to smile

I have just sent the following to Gav, with requisite screenshots


I have lost my tabs in Messages (Inbox, Sent Items, Folders, etc.).
When I first noticed this, on Firefox the buttons on the right of the header bar, wrapped onto the main web page. wrapping-headerbar(message)1.jpg
After fiddling a little with the Mobile Stylesheet button, this seems to be ok.

If I reduced the page to 1186 pixels wide, it transforms to the new style and the tabs come back.

However
With the 'Disable the responsive stylesheet on a mobile device' checked the right hand buttons move off the header bar onto the main page, it also seems the quick link buttons to the Forum etc are repeated.

Also the size of the page makes no difference, the tabs remain gone.

This is using Windows 10 on a 17" laptop and checking with Firefox and Opera.

Hello. I have the following issues…

1) On my iPhone - in any chat room, it no longer displays the list of chat-room occupants as a menu on the right-hand side.
2) Trying to switch between 'Says' and 'Whispers' is cumbersome and difficult.

Basically, I no longer feel comfortable accessing Lush on my mobile phone. So it's game over completely, where that device is concerned.

On both iPhone and Apple Mac laptop

1) The Blocked list has disappeared completely from Privacy Settings. Meaning you can no longer see who have blocked and am unable to unblock anyone you may have blocked in error.

On the plus side, the new Private Chat box is a better design than before. But not enough to make me want to stay. I recently upgraded to a premium membership, and while it's a small amount of money, the principle of it jars with me. I now can't use Lush properly on a mobile and I'm losing features that were previously available to me across the board.

small problem with the chat rooms. The Drop down box to select users, does not correspond to the Room list. The drop down box seems to be keeping a history of who has been in the room and also repeats names.

How can I get to my mail to select the tab "Requests" I can see and read my mail but the other tabs, including requests is hiding under the red bar and I cannot access.
Also, all my information such as online, number of active friends, mail etc. does not show unless I am only logged into one friend on his profile and no other friend does it show for.

Please your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Update...so it looks like my messages screen, aside from being white, is jammed up so that the "compose" button and other things on that line are just under the red bar...so all of the categories (inbox, requests, chat, online, etc) are hidden.

Vanessa, if you are on a desktop/laptop try reducing the size of the window - at 1186 pixels wide, I got the responsive site view, but also the message tabs too.
I have reported this to Gav.

Note, if you have checked the box to disable the responsive site, per Nicola's sticky, it will not change layout no matter how bit or small your window.

If you are using Android or Apple, I have no idea, sorry.

The change avatar setting has disappeared.

And in the settings section on a laptop (style sheet turned off or on in the settings), the menus are squished right up the top next to our red header bar:



While I think about it, the order for all the different options doesn't seem so intuitive. The bulk of our members aren't authors, but "copyright information" is the first link you can click.

It's all style sheets and nothing has been removed permanently. Everything can be fixed!

We had a group of 20 odd people beta test the new design and clearly there are areas on the site which a lot of people use more frequently than our merry group of testers!

As far as I know, the main areas of the site - the stories, categories and homepage, are all working perfectly. Yay!

It's up to our resident code guru (and his helper!), to fix up the rest of the issues as soon as he's able.

Rest assured, they are on the case.

Please give as many details as you can when reporting problems. Screenshots as well if you can. It really helps to narrow down where the issues are occurring.

While it is true most people here may not be writers so aren't interested in the 'Copyright Information', I notice that all the categories are listed in alphabetical order running horizontal. I can see this as an advantage over having the groups listed in some kind of random order. This would also help if at some future date, another category is added, it could be placed in with the other items with a similar first letter. For example, if a person was looking for the 'Story History' group, they could instantly jump to the 'S's', without having to scan through everything else.

Poor Gav must be pulling his hair out trying to work his way through all the problems that go along with creating and installing a new computer program. I think everyone should take a moment and let him know how much we appreciate his work.

I'm suddenly getting a message through my Lush inbox every time someone leaves a comment on a story. I have it set up to email me whenever I get a comment, but this is new. It at least isn't doubling up, because I also have it set up to email me whenever someone sends me a Lush message, and I'm only getting the email alert from the incoming Lush message that someone has left a comment, instead of both.

New means of processing those alerts?

I think it's for selecting multiple people and then there's a 'delete selected' button at the bottom.

On my laptop in Messages, there are no tabs for the various message types (inbox, sent, online, etc.)

However, if I CTRL/SCROLL my mouse to increase magnification, at 150% the display jumps to the new layout and the tabs are visible.

The new format is OK on my phone, but I don't want the display to change on my laptop.
So I went into settings and toggled 'disable stylesheet on mobile device'.

Now when I increase magnification the style sheet doesn't usurp my display, but I can't see the messages tabs at any magnification.
But what I DO get is ghost rollovers for Home, Profile, Forum, Chatrooms, etc on the first line below the banner.

Give it a few hours, he's quite the insomniac.

I'm on my mobile and on portrait I can't see online messages or chat history, but if I rotate to landscape I can. So there needs to be a way to scroll across the messages menu to see the extra tabs

As Nicola demonstrated previously, go to your site settings, click off on the box that says Disable responsive mobile site, and yours will return to the previous 'classic' Lush site. If that's what you wish to do.

That is working for me on my phone.
