I seem to be repeating myself of late saying these competitions are getting harder and harder to judge, but that's because they are!

It was difficult enough putting the Top 10 together, with so many great entries just missing the cut.

But as always, there has to be 3 prize winning entries and here they are. Congratulations to Fuzzyblue, Katherine and Liz, for taking out the cash prizes (wonderful to see you all writing again!):

1st Place ($150): Zoo, by fuzzyblue
2nd Place ($100): The Last Move, by Katherine
3rd Place ($50): Winter Heat, by Liz

Rounding out an exceptional Top 10 were these runners-up:

Alice in Winter Wonderland, by tams_back_yay
The Night Before, by TangerineSky
Tomorrow Never Comes, by DarkSide
The snows of home, by LeCygneNoir
Aurora, by MadMartigan
Countdown, by AylaJ
There's a Unicorn in the Hot Tub, by KimmiBeGood

A huge thank you to everyone who entered, voted and commented on all the entries.

I'll be allocating EP's and RR's in due course.

A new competition is in the design stages and will be announced shortly.

Cheers!

Nicola
What a result! I certainly couldn't have picked a top 20, let alone 10. Congratulations to all the winners and, of course, anyone who entered.

Please browse my digital bookshelf. In this collection, you can find 117 full stories, 10 micro-stories, and 2 poems with the following features:

* 30 Editor's Picks, 75 Recommended Reads.
* 16 competition podium places, 11 other times in the top ten.
* 22 collaborations.
* A whole heap of often filthy, tense, hot sex.

Congrats to the winners! I loved the theme and I’m excited to see a few of my favorites in the top ten.

I can’t think of a good tagline so this will have to do. Suggest a better one for me?

It's my turn to express congratulations to the winners. Well done, as well, to all of the runners up.
For certain, it must have been easier to be a contestant than a judge in this one. I've been blown away by the sheer level of writing on display, and it's an amazing feeling to slip into the runner-ups.

That said, while there are a good 20 stories I could have seen reach the top 10 and at least five or six that could've ended on the podium, I'm pretty sure the consensus winner was always going to be fuzzy. "Zoo" was just that kind of a special effort, by a special writer, and even amongst such good competition it was in a class of its own. Anyone looking to improve in character creation needs to read it, it's basically a masterclass in craft.

I guess all there's left to say is congratulations everyone, and fuzzyblue in particular!
Congratulations to FuzzyBlue on winning 1st place in the competition with an awesome story! And congrats to Karherine, 2nd, and Liz, 3rd for your next up, on the podium finishes with those awesome stories.

To the Honorable Mentions rounding out the Top 10, congrats to you, too. In fact, this comp was so good that even more very high quality stories didn't make the Top 10. This was one really deep comp, loaded with great quality stories. This one made the judges sweat and suffer trying to weigh the finish. Really made 'em work!

A highly successful competition! I'm sure Nicola loved this one. So many great authors is why Lushstories is the best erotic story site on planet Earth, and The Milky Way.
What an amazing comp! Many congrats to the fab top 3, a great top 10 and all the excellent entries. Well done all!!
Whoa.

Been Zoo schooled, we have. Congrats Fuzzy-Butt-Blue
That must have been a brutal comp to judge with so many entries and so many of them good. Congrats to all of the top 10, especially the 3 winners. And a "job well done" to everyone who entered.
Huge congratulation to everyone who managed to complete an entry for this Christmas competition, and a big shout out to the podium trio and runners up
Congratulations to the winners and the top ten, this was an excellent competition.
Congratulations to all
Another super fun comp! Congrats to Fuzzyblue, Katherine, and Liz. And all who entered!
Congratulations to the winners, runners up and all who entered. Great job to all.

congratz to anyone who made top 10, especially Fuzzy, Katherine, and Liz. to be honest, there were easily 20 stories that really shone and narrowing them down to 10, let alone 3, was insanely difficult. anyone who made a spot in the top 10 should be extremely proud of themselves. you guys killed it.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

Congratulations to everyone who join the competition. A lot of great stories.

Kiss Of Death. Should do well in the competition, he says. I don’t see my name or my story on the list. Do you? Last time I bend a knee to you.

It wasn't you did not do well. Others just did better.

Congratulations to all the authors who entered, just fabulous to see the newer and more established writers. Managed to read all the stories and there were, are there always are, some brilliant stories outside the top 10.

Thanks to Nicola and the organising and judging team, you, as always, do a fabulous job. This was a totally fun competition and I loved being part of it. A personal vote of thanks to those that commented so warmly on my story. I was thrilled with your comments.

Congratulations to those who made top 10, all seriously good stories. Special congrats to Fuzzy, Katherine, and Liz for their well deserved podium finishes.

Do check out my latest story:

And my other stories, including 5 EPs, 24 RR's, and 15 competition top 10's including my pride competition winner: On Oxford Street, This Gay Girl Found Pride While Playing With Balls

Congratulations to everyone who entered this competition. The podium rocks!!! These comps make us all better writers and encourage us to read each others' works. I am grateful to be mentioned in the Top Ten. Thank you very much! I am a work-in-progress as a writer, constantly trying to grow by studying the writings of others and challenging myself.
Congratulations to the winners, runners-up, and everyone who entered this comp. It must have been very hard to pick a winner from so many great entries! I don't envy the Mod who had to choose!
Entering a competition here is pretty tough. The themes are so interesting and reading the stories is amazing! I enjoy entering, I love reading, and I am certainly glad I am not a judge!

Congrats to the winners and also the top ten. And I also want to acknowledge all the entires. They were among the best stories I have read anywhere! Thank you all!!

That’s one of the worst backhanded compliments I’ve ever received. Nearly as bad as when the doctor said to my mother, “It’s... it’s...it’s a boy... I think.”

OMG, that is hilarious!!!

A few years back a guy was bugging a gf of mine in a sports bar. He approached her one too many times, so she said in a very loud voice . . . "It's just a man, I think!" He slunk off to the laughter of many in our part of the bar.

Congratulations to all the winners and contestants in the competition. I was happy to enter my first and it will not be my last. I enjoyed writing that story as well as reading all of the other entries.
