Announcing the winners of our Swing Into Summer competition

There were some marvellous entries for this and it was good to see some new authors trying their hand too. Some really excellent stories in the mix, which made it really difficult to even shortlist.

After totting up all the results from the various judges, I'm pleased to announce that Dronette56 takes the $150 first prize, with her wonderful story Attractive Nuisance. She's closely followed by WannabeWordsmith, who receives $100 for his light-hearted entry The Customer Comes First and then a new face for the podium sees Quill taking third place, and $50 with her story Three Is The Magic Number.

I thought there were so many memorable entries. All who entered made this a fun summer comp, so be proud of yourselves!

Wow, how did that happen? Very unexpected but super stoked to be nestled between two other smoking stories on the podium.

Congratulations to Dronette56 and Quill, and of course all the others in the top 10 and beyond. I read as many as time permitted and was thoroughly entertained by the standard of entries and how much summer heat was on display.

Thank you to the shortlister, judges, fellow mods and Team Lush for keeping this place humming. Everyone who devotes their time to the site is a total star.
