So this is alright then?
I loves ya baby .. your boat race reminds me of a bunch of roses in a vase (needs cleaning) whilst the star are in the night sky (turn the light on for goodness sake; where the hell have the rest gone?) and our hearts melt into one whilst we have a butchers at the oceans outta the window. Happy VD my lil cauliflower.
Glad to see a poetry contest!
Working on my Valentine's day poem... need some help - what rhymes with "Gas Chamber"?

I'm in - working on it now - anyone have a good rhyme for "gas chamber"?

This a an interesting and challenging competition, and I am certainly going to give it a go.
St Valentine's Day was originally a religious festival, but the association of the Roman saint and martyr Valentine with romantic love grew up during the high middles ages, when the tradition of Courtly Love (generally unrequited love) flourished, and evolved into the custom we know today in 18th century England, as an occasion for lovers to express their love for each other presenting flowers, offering confectionary and sending greeting cards. It is in the spirit of the Age of Courtly Love that I will compose my poem, but the genre offers the opportunity for a wide range of responses, and I look forward in great anticipation to what my fellow competitors come up with, and I wish them all the best of luck.
Good fun. I will be traveling so I needed to kick my own ass and get this puppy done early. No more hugging the out of bounds line. Hope a few readers like my effort.
I want to add my endorsement for the idea of a poetry contest. They may not be as popular as the recounting of doing dastardly deeds with horny cheerleaders and the MILF next door, but a lot of us here really enjoy them.
